In the early game this might be a big deal, but if you survive into the midgame, it might make sense to make the Forts instead of the OC. You say that you are 'losing' 270 minerals a minute by doing this, but if you can hold the base long enough to mine out, it doesn't matter besides making your income up to that point slightly slower. The effectiveness of mules as a percentage of your total income goes down with the number of SCVs you have if you have enough bases to keep saturating.
Also, it's obviously very difficult to bust up a Fort, so the enemy is going to have to rely on drops/nydus instead of frontal assaults (which are a little bit unpredictable at this stage in the game's development).
This is just another way of looking at it in my opinion. I think actually the biggest loss by going Fort is not having as many scans. If you survive past the early game, the mules just aren't as effective as they are at the start.

I appreciate the vids but is there any way to get the quality up?
The HD SC2 vids on youtube have really great quality and sound and it's a really noticeable difference.

Awesome, you met Garimto. Great stuff
|
Korean sounds are sick XD

That was some sexy play against Garimto. EDIT: and versus showtime, an even better game.
Hellions and a handful of marines actually did way more damage to immortals than I thought they would. Really interesting unit mix there.
I am also wondering what you transition into late game? A mech/bio army seems really strong, but if you are getting upgrades, what do you get them for, your bio or mech?

I have sc2 beta and im playing broodwar, but these vods will come in handy if I ever switch to sc2(which I dont like, atleast not at the moment)

As used in the Brood War community, I believe I used the term correctly. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
Language evolution is based on misuse. So, if everyone uses the word incorrectly, that will become the correct usage. =)

Putting the PRO in protoss! <3

1) I love the frequent FPV uploads. Keep them coming!
2) The audio problem is mostly better now. I dunno what you did but it seem to be working.
3) The video is a bit dark and can be difficult to see what's what. Now it's like you're playing in a cave with the gamma all the way down

What he's doing has nothing to do with metagame, he's just beating a korean. Metagame usually refers to shifts in trends in common play (in SC1). At this point, there is no real meta-game in SC2, as there is no real standard play.

Do me a favour: Every time you write metagame in a sentence, reread it replaced with "game outside the game" and see if it still makes sense. For example:

On March 09 2010 01:21 0neder wrote: Whoa, Artosis owning up the korean TvP game outside the game. Delicious. Thanks! The metagame refers to doing things outside the rules of the game, be it through interaction with your opponent, distraction, or playing based on hardened assumptions that have become standard for all players to make.
See how this makes no sense in this context? If he was swearing in Korean and telling the guy he was actually Zerg, then he would be owning the metagame. Alternatively, if there was one super powerful strategy that everyone was doing and he was doing the complete opposite to throw his opponent off, he would also be owning the metagame; but, that's not applicable here.

sry but this quality makes it completely unwatchable imo
