Sorry for the lack of content, but I've searched both google and TL for a long time and have yet to find a definitive answer to this question. I ask because I'm wondering how large of a monitor I should get.
Thanks.

Do you guys think that higher resolutions could impede micro? That's not correct higher resolution should not give more space blizzard should scale the game properly to aspect ratios but camera height should never change. Although i have yet to see a comparison between 4:3 5:4 16 ![]()

I didn't mean aspect raitos but i mean resolution All rts games seem to suffer from inability to show all the same screen no matter what ratio take a look at C&C3 But i hope things like 1440x900 1680x1050 1920x1200 all 16 ![]()

It defaulted to 1080p / 1920 x 1080 at first but I changed that 1st thing.

Really not useful though when you have to turn your head to look between your unit count and abilities to the other side of the map.. better for FPS type games then RTS. as for scaling, you see the same viewing area on 1920x1080 as you do at 1366x768; only sd 4:3 resolutions cut off part of the viewing area.

Side note: I play at 1920x1200 resolution on windows 7 with bootcamp. Settings are ultra textures, high graphics, and 3d portraits on; consistently gets about 25-40fps.

After 60 fps or so it's not really noticeable. You must be getting near 60+ with a 460 even on a 27". I run over 60fps with a 9800gtx on a monitor that large (max res).
