I imagine this isn't the best place to ask this, but I've been having trouble with watching videos on blip.tv - download of the video will randomly freeze (completely - it isn't buffering or anything of the like) and there's no way to continue watching without restarting the download. Now this isn't usually too problematic, as I can simply start downloading the video from an approximation of the position I had reached before the download froze. However, for some videos all download has to start from the beginning, and in these cases it's practically impossible to see the whole video barring exceedingly good luck.
It also regularly causes me to lose my internet connection, and I have to reset my router to retrieve it.
I haven't been able to find solace from Blip.tv's help section, nor has google been kind enough to provide me relief, so if any of you know what the problem is, I'd greatly appreciate it.
This doesn't happen with any other video download that I know of, for instance I can watch Day[9]'s recordings on UStream without problem, same with sites like Youtube.

Hes doing it for fun and thats good for newer players.
Dont expect many pro's t come and give tips , they earn money form it to start giving away all of their secrets.
Is day9 great at sc2 , nope you can clearly see this , when he gets exited by some minor things but hes nice and i rly enjoy it thus far.
fyi hes vocabulary compare to the average joe is by far superior
First off, have you ever watched him cast anything? His dailys are for teaching and analysis, not regular casting like the europe vs asia showmatches.
Second off, starcraft is not a game of secrets. Pro's don't hide their strats because they can't. As soon as they do it once it gets added to the hundreds of other BOs. A strong SC player is not one who goes for a unorthodox strategy that nobody has ever seen before, but someone who can do the most standard normal build and do it better than everyone else.
Lastly, those "minor" things that he gets excited about or what make or break the match. If all YOU get excited about is the big battles and not the little things that go on during the bases during battles then YOU sir are the one who is not great at SC2.

Anyway, I wanted to show some non starcraft friends what the game was about so I thought Day's commentaries are the best Ill hook them up with one of his games.
On searching Youtube I came across this little gem
Pure Comedy, BM and excitement. I don't know if you were high or drunk but you have certainly come a long way in insightfulness and maturity with your current dailies (on which I settled with)
Looking forward to your next daily as always to keep the SC2 addiction fulfilled <3
Yeah...that cast is actually the reason it took me way longer to start watching Day9 than most other people.
I was around the community when the game happened, but I didn't actually watch it (mainly because I was more into the Korean scene than the foreign/TL community scene at that time). In the aftermath, though, the forums exploded with people talking and laughing about it and quoting all of Day9's most obscene and strangest lines. Basically, the whole thing gave me the very strong impression that Day9 was just some cruddy shock commentator whose main draw was making obscene jokes and saying the f-word a lot. Which is most definitely not my thing.
As a result of this, I for the most part avoided the Day9 dailies when they came out, as well as his various other casting endeavors...I just really wasn't interested in a commentator of that type. It wasn't until the TSL2 that I was forced to actually really listen to Day9's commentary...and lo and behold, here was a mild, gregarious guy with an incredible grasp of the game, and not the self-centered, potty-mouthed kid I had imagined. I was quite shocked, to be honest.
Then, of course, I began seeking out and watching some of the Day9 Dailies...and the rest is history.
Since then, I've often wondered whether or not I'd somehow misinterpreted things concerning the Chill-Combat-ex cast, and it really was just the current mild-mannered Day9 then too. But, heh, apparently not. That video is hilarious.
In any case, I definitely like the current Day9 a lot better than the old one. Keep up the good work, Sean!
well to be fair, Day9 has done some pretty lame things in the scene in the distant past (4-5 years ago).. so hopefully he has matured a lot since then.
I like his daily's, but I still get annoyed by the thought of him at times. I like his brother as a commentator much more, but I can see why many new players like Day because he explains simple things that new players dont think about, and why they are important.
Day9 should upgrade is youtube acc more frequently with videos. Since he´s doing most of the vods with alot of screentime showing himself, he could very likely get a partnership too, if he has enough followers. I, for example, can´t even watch the stream, since his casts are airing at 4 am at my place ( someone might recall the TLO vod. I live in germany aswell ). So i´m not a stream watcher, yet i saw almost all vods dedicated to sc2. Meaning there are probably at least 10.000 viewer out there, which is a solid base to start.
A few people have asked this before me but haven't got an answer so I'm gonna try this one more time. Name of the sad tragic piano song at the beginning of #135, anyone?
So did Day[9] get his testosteron levels checked after the Day[9] Commentary Highlights video on youtube? He's so mellow now so I'd like to know what happened! It's like listening to the Mr Hyde version of Day[9].
He only did that "seriously crazy" cast for a special grudge match between chill and combatex and even announced that he would go all out for that particular match
If you search for "Chill vs Combatex" you can find the related thread. Read it, its funny :D

Basically... Catz had some great early busts, but QXC just kepting going marauders.. and somehow won.. with just marauders.
Hmmm.
Consider how easy is to transition from ground to air units as a zerg player ... and that like a bunch of mutas could have win the game
