Yea well i have no problem with the lexicon he uses, but he just keeps saying the same things every single time, to the point where it feels like brainwash <_> I'm watching his latest uploaded daily now with QXC and that guy made the show feel so fresh because he had so many new and interesting insights, compared to day9's old and over mentioned things that everyone who watches 20% of his casts heard 100 times already. I'm sure we wouldn't have this problem if he had more time to play the game, of course its a hard thing to do when you spend 40 hours each week for casting every single tournament out there. Which is awesome, but i feel that his daily suffers from it... to some degree.

When I'm training/helping a friend out in Starcraft, I don't say one thing and never mention it again. I repeat it again and again so that it sinks in. Also, for those who don't watch every daily, the fact that he repeats himself helps those who might have missed that tip in a previous cast.

day9, i really really love your interviews, and just want to nitpick a few things: - "mmhm, yup, yes" while is normal in regular conversation to let the other person know you're listening, is quite distracting in a broadcasted interview circumstance. From an audience point of view listening to the interview interchange, it is kind of distracting - you preface a lot of your questions with bits of your own analysis, which serves to direct the scope of your questions, but i think it sometimes narrows down the scope too much. During the interview, a few times QXC's response was just a agreement or picking out of multiple choice ABC options. In this sense, i think your excellent and bajujular lecturing habits get in the way of you asking the golden open questions. - on the issue of repetition, (eg: the expanding away for zerg on metalopolis, and the short push distances vs long push distances, ect.) while is very helpful for people who are jumping into your casts, starts to be a little alienating for me as a diehard fan who listens to every single cast i can get my grubby fingers on. I do know generating original thoughts every single day is hard and nearly impossible to force out, so I completely understand and do not expect immediate change, but I would just like to chime in to bring it to your attention. thanks for all the free awesome that you provide!

I do agree that i've heard my fair share of "every good build has a beginning, middle, and end" but in the end, those are the things that you'll never forget and it will help your play that much more. I would rather have him repeat things instead of saying them once in daily #86 and then never saying it again.

First of all, I really like the consistency of Day9's thought patterns. You can listen to his SC1-Podcasts and get the same overall principles, which he has in his current Dailies. And as long as I do not take the majority of these principles into account at my own play (maybe even after that) I am likely not going to get old to his incorporation and presentation of these thought patterns in so much different ways. Nevertheless I enjoyed the #138 with QXC probably even more than the regular Dailies, because QXC is so likeable on the one hand and as you allready said, brought in a load of fresh thoughts. I assume that _more_ of these dualcastings with players commentate their own play, placed between the regular dailies, would soften the described feeling of geting tired by listening to the same patterns again and again.

There's honestly no real "solution" for that, short of exclusively catering to his long-term fans. Every episode will be someone's first episode, so it helps that Day9 mentions the basics, in much the same way that when he casts for other tournaments, he doesn't expect viewers to be familiar with his show (hence him explaining a lot of what's going on--even if die-hard fans have heard it for the nth time).

Anyway, recently discovered these dailies (bnet being down made me look around) and I am liking them a lot. Today's episode #138 with QXC was especially good, keep it up.

Anyway, I wanted to show some non starcraft friends what the game was about so I thought Day's commentaries are the best Ill hook them up with one of his games. On searching Youtube I came across this little gem + Show Spoiler + Pure Comedy, BM and excitement. I don't know if you were high or drunk but you have certainly come a long way in insightfulness and maturity with your current dailies (on which I settled with) Looking forward to your next daily as always to keep the SC2 addiction fulfilled <3

Hes doing it for fun and thats good for newer players. Dont expect many pro's t come and give tips , they earn money form it to start giving away all of their secrets. Is day9 great at sc2 , nope you can clearly see this , when he gets exited by some minor things but hes nice and i rly enjoy it thus far. fyi hes vocabulary compare to the average joe is by far superior

I think he gets excited about minor things because thats what makes a good commentator interesting, check out some of his brothers BW casts for GOM.tv, i think their family has some sort of Gosu, baller SC gene
