Tank change is not such a great idea, it will make all-in play stronger while not addressing the real problem, which is that siege mode simply doesn't hit Protoss units hard enough. Hellbats might be Blizzard's answer to that problem. That kind of damage output will annihilate zealots and help maintain space between your army and the Protoss, and though it doesn't help vs immortals it could help vs archons. Reduced splash is kinda wtf. Returning splash to seeker missile is good, but I don't expect the energy requirement to stay at 75 long. Not too thrilled about the caduceus nerf, would've rather seen Blizzard play with the numbers than straight remove the heal bonus. | ||

The new hellbat is terrible idea, its basically terran roach now, and with medivacs it will be pretty strong imo. Loved the way they were before. Reaper is now a weaker marine with better mobility? Bad change imo. No need to research siege mod? Hooray for even more timing pushes And the medivac... loved the upgrade the way it was before, I mean come on, its as high in tech tree as BCs.... now its just another redundant upgrade in terran book. The only things I like about this patch are the new seeker missiles and envision / time warp ability switch. | ||

Mech is simply not worth teching to because Protoss can dismantle a mech army so easily. You are completely wrong. Opening mech was absolute nightmare versus competent Toss. Now that you can get shit out faster, you will have more economy, better composition, faster upgrades, ghosts, etc.. There are so many things that just snowball from those changes.. You are vastly overstating the effects of 100/100 resources being freed up. Opening mech is not a nightmare, it's actually fairly powerful in the early mid game before Protoss have the time and money to get all the tools out to deal with it. That's why the 1/1/1 was so effective for so long. The longer the game goes on the less effective it is, a late game Protoss army just shits all over mech and this will not change that. Not saying you're wrong, but people said the same about the queen/OL buffs, and look how much of a difference that made for zergs and their lategame. | ||

That tank buff is gonna make for some nasty all-ins in PvT but still not fix mech. All it will do is make 1/1/1s viable again. I imagine I will be getting hit with lots of weird cheeses on the beta tonight. | ||

the toss MSC/Oracle swap was a really good change though. raven change was also a + the tank change - just dumb and is going to revolutionize terran vs terran even moreso. meh. | ||
