Well, the release date has been announced (march 12) so we have ~2months left until we know the story. Does anyone remember when the Dominion-site for WoL went up? This site featured trailers, information, artworks, whatever and fans had to unlock it. (post above me) Would be nice if Blizzard would do something similar to it without spoiling too much. We still don't know shit about the story, we had nearly 2 years without any information about the story etc. (blizzcon didn't reveal anything new, the may update gave it all) So basically we only know 2 missions and + Show Spoiler + little snippets from umoja, zerus etc. The beginning should be clear after reading the little spoiler and the Flashpoint Novel, but still we don't have any intro cinematic (WoL had one in 2007 and was released 3 years later... still it hadn't as much information as i hope the ones from HotS will have). We only know that (from beta files) that HotS plays 2 weeks after the invasion of Char after + Show Spoiler + Valerian and Raynor took the gurl to Umoja (Flashpoint Novel) So basically i guess Blizzard will start the promo 1 month, mid-february with either sites or videos... or just texts (at least) | ||

The Char Fortress is obviously in there. The Char Dunes is most likely the Za'gara mission. The Korhal Platform was seen briefly in the trailer. I already knew much but i have a few questions: Why are you sure that the platform in the atmosphere is Skygeirr? Just curious... and why do you think there will be Hybrids on it? Also isn't the space platform you posted over Korhal/Augustgrad modified? The orignal tileset seamed much lighter. I already have read all those lists (tilesets, units etc.) and some seem cancelled.. wherever those people got the information from. Yeah seems as Kerrigan fucked up Mengsk palace and is on Korhal (which was also confirmed many times, though not official). I pray to Gaga that Korhal won't be the end but it seems as it will be. Zerus just some "side mission". As the picture with Kerrigan is the ending graphic (wasn't it?) displayed after beating the campaign, i doub't that Blizz would take some mid-game cinematic for the end of it. With other words, that picture kind of confirms that this is the last scene of HotS and that it's also the greatest conflict of the expansion, which doesn't really touch the fate of the Zerg (ignoring the leaked ending). Still, there is hope that something bigger than Mengsk will be the showdown of HotS, hopefully on Zerus. And why do you think it is "seemingly" not the end? But thx for the summary, i have a thread on a german starcraft fansite where i gathered all those lists/information/pictures etc. that came from betapatch files and so on. If you have any other news feel free 2 contribute, i would appreciate it! | ||

How do you know it is the ending graphic? And why do you think it is "seemingly" not the end? From the thread: The leaked video is not the ending, nor is it meant to be. It is at that point that Kerrigan and Raynor part ways in the story and that the story joins with Legacy of the Void. Kerrigan literally takes the Zerg out to Zerus to "explore their destiny", as she states in the incomplete leaked cinematic. There is a large lizard-like creature on Zerus (seen in the BlizzCon videos) that seems like it could be the source of all the large "vines" scattered across the tileset. I believe this is a creature Kerrigan is looking for, that she can infest/assimilate and then turn into a metamorph and push the Zerg to evolve as they were meant to originally. I think Kerri "frees" the Zerg and then attacks Korhal but won't use the Zerg as a tool ever again. The quote you posted about how the ending is midgame and Zerus comes afterwards: i read it too. Long ago and i had a hope that it will be true, but now my faith has vanished lawl. I honestly don't think Zerus comes after Korhal, even though Korhal would make a terrible end. Also i found the name of the file of the picture with Kerrigan "ui_bnet_singleplayer_complete_bg_hots.dds" | ||

I really hope they keep Kerrigan as a bitch this time. That's pretty much the only redemption for this campaign in my eyes. Raynor better regret saving her >.>. | ||
