I just can't see how the plot could be that dumb though WoL was also retarded (I believe that leaked footage was a scrapped ending).

Maybe the infestation increased her physical prowess, but I don't think anything has shown that explicitly. She basically gained the ability to control Zerg, rapidly heal, and lost the restraints on her psionic capabilities (by getting rid of them herself).

Obviously, this would be ridiculous to balance since balancing three races is already hard enough, but just as a couple of missions in single player. That would make me so happy! Blizzard did this for the Naga race in the Warcraft 3 expansion campaign, so it's possible we could see something like that in one of the SC2 expansions.

Thats impractical for shipping purposes, as people (like me) who prefer a hard copy over a digital copy will receive half a game in their box. I don't mind the wait, as long as the resulting game is awesome, both single and multiplayer.

Haha, I bet there's a bunch of people who'd be saying the opposite- scrap the single player that they don't care about and just focus on getting the multiplayer out sooner. From a business standpoint it'd be a really bad idea to split the product into parts and to stagger their delivery, so we'll just have to wait for the whole thing to be ready... probably in 2013 TT

I think the preview video for HOTS is pretty easy to decipher. There is a lot of speculation as to why Kerrigan is in a suit, why Nova and the Dominion are after her. I haven’t read every theory as 45 pages of reading is a bit over me, but here is what I think about it. The Dominion: When Tychus and Raynor went down into the Hive to see what was left, it was Raynor’s men that went with him. Tychus was supposed to kill Raynor, and Thus Mengsk and Warfield did not expect him to return. When Raynor killed Tychus, most likely Mengsk knew about this, he had devices installed in/on Tychus to end his life if he did not follow through with his deal, most likely this device reported back to Mengsk that Tychus was dead, however he had no way of knowing that Raynor was alive or not. Now Raynor returns to the Char base with Kerrigan in his arms, naked, semi-zergy but still alive. Warfield is Horace the horrified, and decides its high time to leave Char. He leaves with most of his fleet, with Valerian in tow, while taking much loss on his way out to the ravenous zerg still left on the planet. Raynor rushes Kerrigan to the medical ward, where she receives treatment and regains her consciousness. At first she is enraged at Raynor, that he took away what she was become, she feels instantly her powers all but gone, and her link to the swarm in shambles, in the cutscene it is her that causes the explosion that knocks Raynor back in dismay. This is before Nova arrives. Naturally she cannot be naked forever, and is dressed in the Ghost suit while at the medical ward, which continues her healing process and begins to help her access her human psionic aspects which she has not lost. On Warfields way out, he informs Valerian that Kerrigan and Raynor are still alive, Valerian in turn leaves and meets up with Raynors Raiders to help get them off the planet in order to regroup and plan out there next moves. He joins up with Matt (Horn?) the captain of Raynor’s Hyperion and they move into the orbit of char (again the cinematics with the BC flying in a Char like area with mutas firing). Warfield warns Valerian not to leave him and in anger contacts Mengsk that his son has left, and that Raynor and Kerrigan are still alive. In a New Gettysburg fashion, Mengsk tells Warfield to leave his son to fend for him self, and to get his fleet back to Tarsonis to regroup. While Mengsk assembles Nova and her hit team to go after Raynor and Kerrigan, Matt and Valerian swoop down to Char and get Raynor and Kerrigan out alive. Aboard the Hyperion, Kerrigan confronts Valerian, by now she has quickly healed and regains some of her psionic powers, a small standoff ensues and Matt is divided to follow Valerian or Raynor, who defends Kerrigan and tries to convince her to stand down, that Valerian helped him and Kerrigan, and that he does not side with his father. After the brief tension Matt Horn realizes the greater vision and puts his faith back in Raynor. Valerian, prince and son of emperor Mengsk knows the ins and outs of the palaces, strongholds and defences of Tarsonis and offers Raynor and Kerrigan his aid in going to the planet in order to take Mengsk down. During this time they arrive at an orbiting station and dock their ship which has been damaged. Nova and her crew arrive and heavy fighting erupts on the station, with a lot of loss on each side. Possibly Matt will make a sacrifice to save either Valerian, or Raynor (Valerian in the case that Mengsk gives Nova a kill all objective and he stands in the way). Kerrigan makes short work of the Ghosts/Spectres that the Dominion sends, and in crossing with their psionic paths gains more access to her former powers and knowledge. Enraged, and feeling vulnerable, and not wanting to further endanger Raynor, she leaves to fulfil her own mission, which I will expand upon at a later time. Raynor and Valerian recover from the assault and make their plans to strike directly at Tarsonis and hit Mengsk directly. On a side path of the story that later inter-arches with the focus of Kerrigan and the fate of the swarm, Valerian and Raynor meet up with the Mobius Foundation and Narud, who offers Raynor weapons and ways of dealing with the Dominion. By This time Kerrigan will find out the truth about the Mobius Foundation and how it used Valerian as a pawn. With her Zerg swarm fully under her control again, she will strike back at Tarsonis, to deal with one blow with the Dominion and Mobius at once, while saving Raynor and Valerian in the process. The Swarm: Kerrigan after leaving Raynor returns to Char to find remnants of her past and to follow the path that she has been enlightened to on her way down. She arrives to Char expecting hostility from the Zerg but finds that her Psionic powers have grown enough to if not control them once more, keep them at bay. She decides to take her hidden stores of eggs and reassemble the swarm again to make way for Tarsonis. Along the way, she feels the presence of the brood mothers, and knows she must rid of them to complete her goal. After several battles and victories she regains enough of the swarms control on Char to move onto different planets, which she found out from the brood mothers have new strains and zerg caches hidden away. On her way to the other planets, she is confronted by Zeratul and the Protoss, who to both their suprizes does not assail her. Instead he presents to her a dark prophecy and his knowledge of the dark voice, Kerrigan confirms with him that she has felt his Presence as well. Kerrigan undecided on her path to take leaves zeratul. On the third planet of the campaign (the jungle setting) Kerrigan will run into rogue Protoss that have been corrupted by möbius and the hybrids, that are breeding Zerg to build an army. Kerrigan will be joined by zeratul for a few missions to dispose of them. Once done, she will move the swarm on to Tarsonis, where Raynor holding on to his morality will try to stop her, but Valerian will convince them it must be done. After several large battles the capital palace is besieged and Kerrigan meets Mengsk to deal with him once and for all. Here my theory branches into two paths, maybe a choice mission. On one hand she can simply kill mengsk and rid herself and the Terrans of his plight. On the other, she can take him with to her next destination, where the story ends and climaxes. Kerrigan realizes the growing threat of the dark voice and the hybrids, and realizing that the Terrans and broken and leaderless (to which valerian assumes the leadership of shortly after). The Protoss as growing few and too far apart, that she must strengthen the forces of the Zerg and assume her role as the queen of blades once more. To the dismay of Raynor, she reinfests her self (your choice mission comes into play as if you keep mengsk alive, she turns him into the Zerg as well to be a loyal minion as punishment for his sins). Zeratul convines Raynor it must be done for the sake of the races, and the three heroes form an alliance unlike before, one based on survival and a utter most need. The chapter closes with Kerrigan making the ultimate sacrifice willingly for the sake of all, the queen of blades rises once more. End. Thanks for reading, your feedback is most welcomed.

In a New Gettysburg fashion, Mengsk tells Warfield to leave his son to fend for him self, and to get his fleet back to Tarsonis to regroup. why would Valerian abandon warfield i dont quite understand this part i think youve msised some of the lore panels though and other stuff weve been told about HoTS 1Kerrigan does not stay with Raynor, presumably her blowing up a ward and Novas attack happen on Char and she escapes with revenge against Mengsk primarily in her mind she meets Abathur and Izshar (not sure if thas the right name) i think Abathur was in charge of handling the evolution of the swarm since the Overminds time and Izshar is like a back up disk of the Queen of Blades and starts filling Kerrigan in a bit of what he doesnt remember (which is basically everything after her infestation) Kerrigan decides to start gathering the swarm back together so she can get her revenge agaisnt Mengsk so she has to go to each broodmother and kick there ass so they submit to her once again i think alot of this was covered at the lore panel at Blizzcon (you can youtube it) and other such teaser vids so im fairly certain 99% of the above info is 100% accurate
