How effective was Wout Weghorst? I've always been a big fan but it did surprise me that United brought him in Pretty garbage performance tbh. I can't remember anything notable he did

Season is halfway through and Arsenal has a 5 to 8 point lead. Calling anything is wayy premature tbh.
They look great and I hope they hold, though!

I really hope Xhaka and Partey can hold the whole season

Sancho must be one of the most disappointing transfers in PL history. Guy looked fantastic for Dortmund for a long period of time. You can still occasionally see that he has a high skill ceiling but overall he's been consistently underwhelming.
Antony wasn't nearly as proven, and players struggling the first half of their first PL season is to be expected. On paper I think spending 95 mill euro for Antony was a lot worse than spending 85 million euro for Sancho, but Sancho has been much more disappointing.

Sancho seems done and fated to walk down the tragic path of Andy Carroll and Delle Ali.
My hope is for Bellingham to stay the hell away from EPL till he hits at least 24-25 years old.
Tammy Abraham is absolutely in beast mode in Serie A. I really think it's best for English rising stars to not be tempted by the riches of the EPL. Only sign for a top club if there's a coach who can truly nurture youngsters well (eg Klopp, Pep or Arteta).

i think dele alli is a bit too far. alli is special kind of failure and i would be very surprised if sancho fell to those kinds of depths. i would put ten hag above arteta at least as far as nurturing youngsters go, given his previous stint at ajax. thats what makes sancho's case more bizarre; 3 different managers that couldnt get him to perform at dortmund level and he is well into his 2nd full season with a coach now that is considered to have brought out the best performances for each member of the current squad, with the exception of maybe bruno fernandes who set the bar too high in his first season. hopefully the current situation is part of ten hags "nurturing youngsters" plan and sancho returns to be better than ever. otherwise it would indeed be a massive disappointment.

Bellingham will definitely work at a bigger club, he has proven himself in the world cup, in the England national team and he also performs against Bayern in the Bundesliga. Sancho was invisible in the bigger games at Dortmund
Sancho's fail at Utd is really not that surprising to me

Hope Everton give Dyche a chance, he deserves a bigger club with better players to try and work his way up. He also has relegation battle experience to get them out of trouble as well.
Getting someone like Bielsa in just relegates them straight away because you can't learn his style in 5 months and expect not to lose many games trying it.

Some smaller club could probably accept relegation as a possible outcome and prepare accordingly, but Everton likely isn't built for that. Last time relegation was approaching, there was some talk that majority of their contracts don't have relegation clauses in them. Getting relegated would mean they're forced to offload unsustainable contracts and rebuild big time.

I think it could get pretty bad even compared to the current situation.
Your organization has to be downsized, every other club knows you absolutely have to sell players and buy replacements and you're going to be scrambling to build a coherent roster out from nowhere. An overhaul is good, but you'd want to do that over a bunch of years, not in one summer or so. To me getting relegated would be more like the trajectory of Sunderland or at least Stoke or West Brom than some quick bounce back that some clubs have mustered.

I still hope he comes good, he was electric at Dortmund. I've heard it said that he's much more of a systems player than his flair would have one think, especially as he's not rapidly quick. Prospers around other intelligent players where he can make give-and-gos, play 1-2s and beat a player in a tight area with his technical ability, make clever passes. He's not one to drive and drive with pace and physicality like Rashford can do.
Maybe if his head straight, and a United team that is looking more and more functional the prospects of him finding his way isn't inconceivable.
