Anyway that 2-2 from Japan make things extremely interesting No it doesn't, it was just a criminal cheat, and it's obvious who they are benefitting: the current loved bois of FIFA - messi and cavani. I don't see any difference between SA VAR and others. It's the same crap.
For whoever doesn't know, I'll tell you even though people don't mind as long as VAR helps whoever they cheer for: - Japan sub23 aka Japan scored 1-0; - Uruguay got a VAR penalty out of nowhere for Cavani kicking a defender, 1-1; - Japan should've had a penalty which was much more than Uruguay's (which shouldnt have been called), clear as day. Ref talked with the mafia bois in the room, but he decided to not even look at VAR, still 1-1; - Japan still goes and scores the 2-1; - Uruguay scores 2-2; - Japan lost 2 deserved points, Uruguay got an undeserved point, some others teams but Argentina especially have their chances increased, thus reducing the pressure on them as well and helping them in every way; - ah and every free-kick/card was cheated against Japan. Uruguay should've had a red or at least 2 yellow cards for the same player even, whilst Japan sub23 received undeserved cards for ghost free-kicks being awarded against them.
gg? Not really. I also heard there was another pen for Japan sub23 but I'm not sure, I didn't watch 100% of the game. And I still saw that much... most of the people who watched noticed at least the obvious pen cheats too.
The biggest Copa America champions ever having to cheat so much to draw against invited Japan (who happens to be the sub23 that will play the Olympics next year) is as shameful as playing the Libertadores final in Europe.

Maybe don't? After the 2002 WC.

So it kinda looks like they realized that the way the rule was officiated was stupid but couldn't figure out a way to fix it without being inconsistent.
They really should have thought of this ahead of time. The World Cup isn't really the best time to experiment with the rules.

A rule that states goalkeepers at the 2019 Women's World Cup must be cautioned for encroachment at penalties has been suspended for shootouts.
Under new guidelines, keepers at this tournament are booked if they come off their line prior to a penalty kick.
So far, three players have been shown yellow cards for breaking the rule.
But football's law makers say having it in place for penalty shootouts risks "unfairly distorting" the outcome if a goalkeeper is sent off.

Holy smokes our U21 team is on a roll, 4-1 Croatia, 4-2 England

The thing I've been most surprised is how badly the teams and goalies have adapted to the rule. Either something in the information chain is broken or the teams have done a terrible job recognizing its importance. If was in the coaching staff, the very first training session after that Nigeria - France game would have involved PK exercise for keepers until they feel somewhat comfortable with the rule - assuming that wasn't done in the tournament preparation as it probably should have been.
Whether the rule itself is good or not is another thing, but the current issues are because the teams have done zero homework for some reason.

Idk, dude all I'm saying is that SA VAR uses old tech so they need to press buttons and rotate stuff making everything much slower than it should, at least compared to Europe.
That penalty is indeed the reason VAR exists, to recheck some stuff, i do agree it was incredibly questionable to not check and call the fault vs the japanese that could end up being a penalty for the 3-2

The longer we get into the transfer window without an Arsenal signing, the more worried I get

2002 was won by a south american team.
2018 had matches of european teams against south americans teams, but with european referees. You can't seriously compare.
So I watch the highlights and I'm so glad I didn't watch Chile vs Ecuador. Biased yellows card to favour Chile (indirectly favoring Argentina etc again), and then weak elbow gets an Ecuador sent off. They obviously won't give up making sure Japan and Ecuador draw in the last game if that's necessary and Argentina can't get more than a draw against Qatar... sickening. I mention the elbow because Ecuador got a player sent off vs Uruguay too and it was also very weak. But I don't remember which match was it Argentina vs Paraguay or Japan vs Uruguay, but either Uruguay or Argentina (though I'm not sure) did the same elbow thing and the guy wasn't sent off. This bias and lack of impartiality in the application of rules truly destroys the game.

That might affect some other club logistics too, so I expect some transfer fireworks to go off at that point.

I'm not surprised tho, with next year CA there will be 4 in 5 years, this as far as they can go with "ok let's push it until Messi can win a title with Argentina" and also get themselves rich while at it.

Lol Australia score directly from a corner against Norway!

Hoping we can pick up Tierney from Celtic. Even though our first offer was rejected, Ornstein said that there was still optimism

These Cameroon players got no chill.

Lol VAR being so severely unkind to Cameroon but they are both correct decisions from what i can see, but they are going absolutely mental about it xD

The initial indirect free kick has apparently been a bit iffy previously on the tournament, but I think even that seemed like a reasonable decision.
Unlucky for Cameroon, but that's how it goes sometimes.

Yeah think me when i cheered like hell when England won it vs Netherlands for it to be cancelled out xD
I understand what Cameroon players are thinking and are annoyed but they have/had plenty of time still in the game.

Does anyone here who knows about buying Premier League tickets have a moment to answer a few questions? I'm trying to get a ticket for the Arsenal home match vs Man City on December 14. From what I gather, you need to buy a membership to get early access to tickets and that the tickets aren't on sale to the public yet. My questions are, when do the tickets typically go on sale for members, and what kind of membership should I get? I'm too old for any of the youth memberships

Also Argentina is winning their last game while Paraguay is not. So not only will Argentina not be eliminated, they will also face Venezuela instead of Brazil or Chile. The tinfoil hat brigade wins.. .or loses, however you want to look at it
