Hazard was our best player last season yes, just like Mane was Liverpool's, Messi was Barcelona's etc etc. Next season we get to play without him in a more work horse like fashion, Willian in his favored position with Callum and Puligod providing the rest.

Sometimes I wonder why Suarez don't want to use a brain at this point, considering latest Copa America match and him asking for penalty when GK from Chile played a ball with his hand in goalkeeper area :D What a great player and what a garbage personality at the same time, jeez

I think the goalie also had a shiny yellow jersey, similar to the one Barca sometimes has in away games. I can see the brain mistaking that for an outfield player briefly if that's what your brain is conditioned to do.

Having trouble understanding this, surely Man United merchandise sales, globally, are well over half a billion dollars. Easily. That has to go back into the club not just the board.
|
Why? No need to change anything as long as they can syphon 100m a year out of the club. Until the fans riot and revenue collapses nothing will happen

There isn't a board at Yanited that is the issue it is just Glaziers. This isn't even news either all the Yanited fans have known this since day one, they put the money into buy the club via a loan they took, they then signed to take the club and put the loan against Yanited itself. This is the reason why FC United exist as well as Salford FC or whatever it is called.
Its sad when arguably the biggest or at least top 3 club in the world of football is run by cash grabbers like the Glaziers. The other issue is, there is NO way they will ever be able to sell the club it is worth to much. It will cost upwards of £4 billion and no one is gonna pay that !

But Man United not paying towards any debts for over 8 years? They are now a publicly traded company. It would have to be a model of public record not to mention to the share holders.
Never mind moving up as one of the most valuable clubs in the world.

She is also one of 28 players suing the US Soccer Federation, alleging the men's team earns more than the women despite playing fewer games and being less successful.

Haha, gotta say Rapinoe does have a point. There is no reason US women football players should earn less than their male counterparts. They play more games, are way way more sucessfull and prolly even play better than the men

But do they gerate more money is the question. If so then yes of course they should earn more, but if not then why should they? At the end of the day football is business and you have to have a huge viewership and even though womens football is on the upscale I would guess they can not outmatch their male counterparts.

Oh yes they also generate way more viewers than the men. I think I even read that women players names' are more recognised than male players in the US

Hmm that indeed is very odd then. I can not understand why their association would throw cash at the mens team if they do not profit from it.

I think in most cases this would not be reflected until the next contract negotiations though, but it might be different story with the national team system.

It helps that the men team didn't even qualify for the last worldcup xDD

i really dont get player salaries. like if someone is making 700k/year why would u need to give them 5.3million/year all of a sudden?

are there financial numbers backing up that the women's team generate more money? i mean playing more games/more successful/more views is great and all but if u cant generate the money then what's there to even argue?
edit: i think most reports are that they generated more money in the past 3 years.

Finals woohoo
The Romanian u21 team is really good, a shame they had to play at those temperatures

Both Romanian goals were scored by Puscas.
I know it's not the same spelling, but it's still a bit funny

Really excited for USA vs France and the Argentina vs Venezuela rematch, I just wish they didn't start at the same time
