They are going to pay 25/30 millions for De Gea, when they could use this year Keylor Navas (He should have played instead of Casillas last season) and they can get a FREE contract with De Gea in January for next season... I would never understand Florentino logic.

And Steve McClaren is the new manager at Newcastle. Edit 2: USA vs Germany just started.

You really think United would not make a new deal for De Gea ? and you really think De Gea would not have agree the deal (more money) knowing that RM would have paid either way ? Just imagine how much would De Gea cost if he does a terrific Euro next year...

1 year 25/30 million is pretty harsh when Madrid the primary destination tho. Would be interesting to see what De Gea new deal looks like.

Well its kinda funny considering every such case in the past was thrown out after the players paid their fines. Xabi alonso being a primary individual. I think it will be hard to prove that Messi knowingly let people do these things, he was hardly 20 when all of this was happening. Most college educated 20 year olds dont know how finanace management works let alone one who lives and breathes football. That having been said its his money so he will be ultimately responsible. Spains economy is in the shitter and they want the taxes Messi can pay. They will get them, thats mostly what its about. Another cool 20 odd mill in fines and maybe some probation.

United have tried since months ago to make a new deal with De Gea offering him the same money or more money that R.Madrid will offer him. But De Gea doesn't want a new deal with United, he wants to come back to Spain. I don't understand the eurocup argument, he will be free to go to any team he wants before the eurocup, he has only one year contract in M.Utd and he doesn't want to renew. I understand De Gea wanting to go R.Madrid this summer. I just don't understand R.Madrid wasting 20-30 millions for a goalkeeper that is free next summer and already wants to go R.Madrid. Specially when they have Navas this year, that is a great goalkeeper.

Thats what Perez does he throws money to tell players "this is how badly I want you". A year on too many things can change.

Hermann is standing out for Germany. Also as someone says on twitter: is US defensive strategy to let attackers run free and assume they'll miss?

All praise for more good work, but how high are the chances that there was any incriminating material two weeks after the initial searches and with another hour forewarning. Although it is fun imagining hectic worker bees throwing files into their very own incinerator

Germany just doesn't look like they're taking the game seriously. For their sake, I hope they do a little more in the second half, and for the U.S., I hope they clean up a lot of the sloppy play. It kept them from getting a rhythm for the entire half, and the only stand-out moment was the goal.
