I agree. They went from defensive players who were paid to get under people's skin to scorers/leaders on the canucks.
The nucks fans are hateable they burnt down there own city,
#notallcanucksfans Jokes aside I don't find this statement to be true. Yes the people who burned, looted, and destroyed parts of Vancouver are idiots and some (many?) of them may be canuck fans. But for the most part they did not do that because they were canuck fans. The people who literally ignited the spark that the started the Vancouver Riots were people who went downtown with the all the materials they needed to do that. They weren't there to watch the hockey game. How do I know? Well they had materials that could light those rugs on fire (normal lighters couldn't), they had bricks/sticks/etc in their backpack and they had balaclavas to hid their identity. I will grant you that all of idiot/intoxicated Canuck fans saw what this group was doing (re: mob mentality) and went crazy. Those would be the people that were caught and smiled at the cameras and posted the pics on facebook and tried to sell the coach purses the next day on Craigslist. The people who started it were not dumb enough to get caught because they knew what they were doing and used 'losing' as an excuse to vandalize. It was a real bright moment for the city
and they turned on the first good goalie they had in 20 years.
Are you talking about the Canucks fanbase? Or management? or both? I think the fanbase was kind of split between Luo and Schneider. The problem was that Luo wanted to leave and other teams knew that. He was one of the best goalies in the League (and as you said the Canuck's best in 20 years) but he had no trade value. The mistake the Canucks made was waiting for the 'best' deal that never happened. Canuck fans are pretty fickle with their goalies, I will give you that.
So yeah they are pretty easy to dislike.
Agreed. Canuck fans can be pretty entitled for not winning anything ever. 2011 was our best chance and for whatever reason we couldn't score on the PP (#1 all season) and couldn't score 5v5 (#1 all season). Our window for winning is gone now (OR 1-3 Nucks comeback akin to 1994 1st round also against the flames **hoping**. I hope we go full on rebuild mode so that we can be a cup contender soon. I don't want to be kinda good and trade away our draft picks to barely make the playoffs (my opinion ofc).
there were lots of people who watched but weren't necessarily in a stadium or bar for the game. I think it's pretty safe to say canuck fans pretty much = isis
That sens/habs game last night was a joke, especially the part where there were 8 players in the corner trying to get the puck out. It was like watching an exhibition game

I don't understand what the fuck happened that game... Worst perfomance ever by Montreal(Excluding Price.. Price was Price.). Did they think Ottawa would just roll over and die? This is not a team to give hope, after that miracle run to get into the playoffs you need to crush them while you have a chance..

I don't think the Habs have anything to be concerned about.

They were one of (if not the most) disliked fanbase in hockey long before they torched their city. Most people with common sense know that the whole riot thing had little enough to do with fandom and more to do with assholes gotta asshole.
Personally, I dislike Canuck fans not for what they do in the news or whatever, but for what they do inside a rink watching a hockey game. You can be at an Oilers game and strike up a perfectly civil and friendly conversation with a Flames fan. Try that with your average Canucklefuck fan and he'll call you a faggot and throw food at you. They're just so angry...
Like most fanbases, there are good people and bad people. But for whatever reason with the Canucks, the bad seems to really outweight the good. At least in who gets tickets for road games.
^ Milan Lucic who is a Vancouver native that won a Memorial cup for the local junior team said that he wasnt going to Vancouver anymore, except when the Bruins are in town because he was being harrassed. He then went on and told a story about how he was attacked by a couple of drunk fans in a poutinerie after a night in town.
''I have no reason left to defend my city and the people in my city. I’m disgusted and outraged that it had to come to something like that.
“So, as far as that goes, other than being at Rogers Arena, no one will ever see me in downtown Vancouver ever again ... I’ve been downtown Vancouver 50, 60 times and I’ve never even come close to an altercation. But this one obviously ended in one.''

Continuing with the weirdness of the ducks series:
NHL Public Relations @PR_NHL Via @EliasSports: @AnaheimDucks led for 38:26. That is least amount of time a team has led in a 4-game sweep (prev.: DET, 40:49 in 1997 CSF)
also this was mentioned here but goddamn was Etem's goal pretty. That backhand lift

They have to be concerned about their next series if their powerplay remains as abysmal.

2010: Looters smashed windows and clashed with police on Montreal's Ste-Catherine St. after the Canadiens defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins in the final game of the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs. At least 25 people were arrested.
2008: Cars were burned and downtown stores were trashed after the Canadiens beat the Boston Bruins to advance to the second round that season's playoffs.
1993: Montreal's Stanley Cup victory over the Los Angeles Kings turned ugly when fans began vandalizing stores and setting police cars ablaze. Nearly 170 people were injured and more than 100 were arrested. The violence caused an estimated $2.5 million in damage.
1986 - Some 5,000 jubilant Montreal fans celebrating the Canadiens' Stanely Cup win over the Calgary Flames rampaged through the city's downtown. Officials were so poorly prepared that Quebec courts ruled police criminally negligent.
1955: Violence broke out in the streets of Montreal after star forward Maurice Richard was handed a stiff suspension. Richard broke his stick over a Boston Bruins player and hit a linesmen, causing the NHL to suspend him for all remaining games including potential playoff matches. Habs fans rioted in protest of the ruling, which many interpreted as a prejudicial decision based in part on Richard's francophone heritage. There were roughly 100 arrests and $100,000 worth of property damage during the riot.
I wouldn't surprised if they riot just for making the 2nd round.
