Is there any chance that the Superbowl won't be Seattle vs New England? I just don't see it happening, I couldn't pick an upset on either side because I'm not even sure Rodgers can remain on the field vs Seattle's D once he gets knocked around a couple times. And there's no way Indy beats the Pats.

God I'm gonna be such a bitter prick when the team sucks again next year, and Kaepernick continues to not evolve into a real qb instead of an athlete playing qb.

I think GB has a much better chance of beating SEA than IND does beating NE. GB's D isn't particularly great in my mind, but they're certainly good enough, and they're built for an offense that puts up a lot of points. They rush the qb and ball hawk.

I decided to look up the money lines for both the underdogs to see what Vegas thinks of their respective chances. I found GB at +250 and Indy at +225, which I thought was interesting. For those who don't know what that means, for a $100 bet on either team, Green Bay would yield a $250 gain should they win while Indy would yield $225. I'm surprised by this, as I thought that Indy would have longer odds. Betting both seems like a decent way to make a profit. I think that the odds aren't overwhelming that both favorites win.

As far as the upcoming games though, it seems to me that the Colts have a good chance against the Patriots. It all depends on how the Pats D can hold down the Colts Air attack. Revis is more than capable, but I think the Colts receivers should have plenty of chances to make plays.

Oh please let the Packers take down Seattle... please? Should be a good game regardless but I have a vision of what will happen if Rodgers isnt on his game and they let the Hawks dictate the pace...

The colts haven't even covered the spread in the last few games vs the pats, they'll have to kick it to 13 to win it. That doesn't mean I'm counting them out, but the head to head looks pretty bad for them. Seattles D isn't as scary as it was last year, and the packers are loaded. I could see the pack pulling a upset.

imo, the bigger match up will be the Colts D vs Brady and Co. Everyone knows Luck and the passing offense at least are good. Their D is a much bigger question mark. They came up big last week, but over the course of the year the defense has been just ok. It's definitely a weak spot compared with the other side of the ball.

Especially considering they got rushed down by a 3rd string RB. Pats might have to activate Grey just to make Pagano lose some sleep.

I don't like either the Colts or the Packers this weekend. The Colts need to prove that they can compete against the Patriots. History has been very unkind so far. Speaking of which, the Packers --- and Dom Capers --- need to prove that they can effectively defend against against a play-action / mobile QB offense. They've been lit up repeatedly by the Niners and Seahawks over the past few seasons. I don't know why that would change now. I also don't have much faith in the Packers offense doing much against the Seahawks D. A hobbled Rodgers against that defense? Doesn't sound good to me.

I agree with pretty much everything that's been brought forth; I thought that the Colts were a pretender and would lose to Denver last week, who is certainly inferior to New England, and unless Rodgers heals miraculously, I think the Seahawks are better in nearly every way.

That being said, I don't like either underdog's chances to win, but I like one of them. Does that make any sense?

Looks like Elway is winning out with Gase? Word is now that 49ers will promote their DL coach Tomsula to HC and Broncos will promote Gase to HC.

Wouldn't be too happy as a Broncos fan. Don't know anything about Tomsula except they had a good line.

I suppose for the 49ers it doesn't matter as long as they get a good OC. The defense ought to be good, but that isn't the teams prob. Trestman maybe?

Thank god 49ers went with Tomsula instead of Gase.
Still a mistake to led Harbaugh go in the first place though.

I think the Raiders could develop in years to come if they manage to get Mike Smith as DC and Marc Trestman as OC to join Del Rio. Those three are all veterans of the NFL and are well respected.

I think it's both. He definitely was interested in the Michigan job, but he definitely could have been enticed to stay under different management. York and Baalke had been fueding with him for the past 1-2 years, and leaking all sorts of shit to the media.

The Tomsula hiring is stupid. If you were going to promote internally, go with Fangio, since he's at least called plays at an NFL level. Tomsula has never been a fucking coordinator here. He was for two years in NFL Europe, and had one year as a HC there. That's it, and he's almost 50. This was after jed York was bsing about wanting a teacher too lol

Not only that, but his hiring is almost assuredly going to cost the Niners Fangio since he got passed over. He stated multiple times: if you don't hire me, hire an offensive coach. At this point, if the Niners don't win the division and win at least a game in the playoffs, it's a failure. TBH, anything less than the NFCCG is a failure.

What are the chances McDaniels gets a HC job (maybe Chicago?) after this season? He failed pretty spectacularly in Denver, and only looks good when his offense is ran by Tom Brady, but he's garnished interest before and has shown that he wants a HC position. If Bill were closer to retirement he'd stick around but that doesn't appear to be happening in the near future.
