only got to watch the last few minutes due to work, but the first two plays of the last drive by the Jets was fucking awful. I get that if there's nothing downfield that Geno needs to go to his checkdown, but why is that receiver in the middle of the field? If the back on either of those plays is working the sidelines the Jets have an extra 20 seconds at the end, which is enough time to get closer for the game winning field goal. Jets fan life. Forever the loser.

by the way im not sure if this applies for inside the US, but i figured that $5/month for NFL Now is pretty fucking good value when you get access to nfl network 24/7 and nfl redzone every sunday.
beats paying for game pass for the season (and the nationally televised games i can cop it by watching through alternative sources)

damn, I'd pay that if it was available in Finland... LQ streams are such a downer.

Are the Seahawks really trade Percy Harvin for a mid round pick? What the heck?

frees up space for wilson's contract and apparently he was a cancer in the locker room.. wasn't impacting the offense much last couple weeks.

yes I think the jets are losing in this deal.
He will breakdown even faster with all the touches the jets need him to have. But hey, at least they are trying.
|
I am shocked expecialy after we got a first third and seventh round pick for him not long ago.
knew he was a cancer in the locker room and injury prone but damm.

better than what the Eagles got for Desean Jackson... oh wait...
|
Okay deal for Seattle, I think. He makes a lot of money for many years to come and has injury concerns. Fine deal imo

the jets locker room just got more toxic

Harvin is bad in the locker room? I've never heard this

I don't think the Jets locker room is toxic, it's just filled with mediocre players and coaches.

The patriots playing 4 games in 18 days plus the crappy weather definitely helped the jets. But as a patriots fan I see the jets as a 9-10 win team because of the linemen they have on both sides of the ball. A better secondary and quarterback that doesn't suck eggs is what they need. Honestly the money invested into Harvin is a waste for the jets.

Dang I didn't know you were still posting on tl inc. But yeah this means they have extra room to keep their players, but really this leaves Wilson with zero weapons in the passing game. But sadly another embarrassing loss for Peyton means that defensive backs have been nerfed once again, weakening the strongest unit the seahawks have. Lynch is a beast and Wilson is great, but right now teams can stack 7 or 8 in the box every play and make Wilson's third rate receiving corp beat them. And Wilson is not on the same level as a Brady or someone similar who makes second and third rate receivers look good, at least not yet. This is a long term move, but it makes this year even harder for the Seahawks offense.
|
Its just acknowledging that they cant possibly stack their team as hard as last year because players are getting paid. Id actually expect them to try and do something other than Wilson extension with the money to try and win now. But lets not forget that Wilson is making 500k, and that is a huge % of why he is useful.

somewhere between a 2nd and 4th round pick for a guy that cant get on the field. gotta love being a Jets fan.
|
Apparently he also gave Golden Tate that black eye he had when they won the super bowl and refused to go back on the field vs the Cowboys. Sounds like hes the text book locker room cancer.
|
I'm to the point where I trust Seattle's personnel moves until proven otherwise. Perhaps that's foolish, but I think they've proved their worth to this point.
