Not sure right now whether I'll be joining another crossfit, or just going back to the college's gym I was at previously and adding some metcons into my workouts. Giving me quite a headache trying to work all the things I want to do in together - I was enjoying someone else doing the programming for me.
There's a couple things where I'm really not sure WHAT I want to do - I don't know how I want to progress my squat, I don't know how often I want to back vs front squat (right now I'm doing a week of back, a week of front, repeat). I don't know what frequency or volume I want to press at, and I don't know if I care about bench press at all. I know I want to snatch and C&J twice a week in some variation, but I don't know how long that's going to take me and what other work I can fit in that day. I don't know when my work schedule is going to be, so I don't know what days are open for AM/PM workouts, what days I have 45 minutes and what days I have 2 hours. It's all very much a headache and I've got a long way to go before I solve it. You know when I was in college I just read T-Nation forums and went to the gym to lift heavy things. I don't recommend reading the T-Nation forums, but you are stressing out about the wrong things. Body recomp is 80% diet and 20% training. If you aren't eating enough food and getting enough protein it doesn't really matter what specific training protocol you are using to progress on your squat. Programming is really overrated for people who aren't already really strong. Consistency, intensity, and diet far outweigh other factors.
I'm not actually stressing much. These are all things that are more than a month off. I think you're reading more confusion and angst into the words than they were typed with. Common forum problem.
I can think of a dozen ways that I can progress my squat. My problem is really "Which one of these sounds like the most fun, and which one lets me oly lift the most often as well." My squat is currently progressing just fine while not eating. In fact it's up over 60 lbs from where it was when I weighed 20 lbs more than I do now. I'll probably add 10-15 pounds back on between now and january, but diet is REALLY not an issue for me. Never has been other than my general dislike of eating, but I've been working around that for 23 years.
I think I get enough good quality sleep in a single stretch of 8 hours one night (or day) out of a given month but that comes with my job and course load and it isn't really possible to fix. I do what I can there, and it doesn't seem to make a difference to me when lifting whether I'm tired or not.

Stress affects my workouts the most to me. Being tired also doesnt help but it usually just affects how long i can workout for. A golfball should work for massaging since i lack both a laxball and tennis ball, right? I imagine itll hurt like a bitxh though. Im gonna buy a foam roller after my vacation next week.
Edit: lots of stuff online for golf ball massages. Will try it after work tonight.

however, today, while doing cleans, my left anterior deltoid started hurting a lot while I was in the rack position. it's more of a pulled muscle kind of hurt, not a soreness kind of hurt, so I stopped my workout immediately. it's gotten a little better since I've rested it the remainder of today, and some quick internet research seems to point to a mild rotator cuff injury that should get better by itself in the next day or so of relaxing, but I was wondering if anyone had had similar problems and whether there are any technique issues associated with this kind of injury. One of my friends said I might be pulling with my arms too soon instead of waiting for the full triple extension, so that's one posssibility, but is there anything else? Thanks!
Would have to see a video of your lifting to tell you. Not a lot of info to go off of for the shoulder. Look at these: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=kelly starret shoulder&page=&utm_source=opensearch

Fuck, something is really wrong with me.
So, some data over the past 2 months:
Squat: 100kg 5-5-5 -> 100kg 5-3-2 Bench: 95kg 5-5-5 -> 90kg 5-5-4 DL: 132.5 5x -> 132.5 4x Front Squat: 80kg 5-5-5 -> 90kg 5-5-5 OHP: 62.5kg 5-5-5 -> 62.5kg 4-4-3
Most of those are well off my all time PRs.
In general during workout I feel incredibly weak. A single heavy set exhausts me like never before. Most of the time I am breathing heavily and seeing spots halfway through my workout.
Recovery also takes longer than ever before. It's Thursday now and my legs are still completely wrecked from front squats and DL on Monday. Same happens to my shoulders and chest after I manage to bench heavy - can't do anything close to my usual dips 2 days later. Again, this is not something that happened to me ever before, even when I was living a far less healthy life style.
I have maintained my all time high bodyweight (74kg) throughout that time. I am tracking calories and checking Protein intake.
I sleep 7+ hours a night. When I don't have an early start I don't even set an alarm during the week, and usually wake up after 7:30h.
More stuff that has me concerned:
I wake up feeling like total crap. Usually after a workout day and a good night sleep I would feel amazing - now I feel like I was hungover.
I have elevated blood pressure (90-140 instead of 80-120), and an elevated resting pulse (60+ when 50-55 is my norm). (Possibly) as a result I have nose bleeding several times a day, especially during exercise. This is more an annoyance, however I had to stop benching before because blood was running into my throat. And of course it seems to be a sign that something is off with me.
I have been to two different doctors three times, but so far all they can tell me is the symptoms I just described. Both docs inquired if I am experiencing a lot of stress work wise; but I am really not. I was stressed out after the breakup from my GF more than 2 months ago, but now from all I can tell about myself I have put that behind me, and apart from being frustrated about my physical performance I feel mentally fine.
I have no idea if any of you can help me, if not this is just a rant about feeling like my body is leaking life energy somewhere and I can't seem to find the problem.

My advice would be to go to a doctor because you sound pretty sick (as in long term stuff) but youve done that already.. Perhaps you could look for some kind of specialist instead of a general doctor?

WebMD gives a wide range of condition possibilities for your symptoms. Taking a quick look at a couple of the conditions, I say that these are some important questions:
1.) Is your body absorbing food (and micronutrients) correctly? You could be anemic if your body isn't absorbing iron correctly.
2.) Are you depressed in any way?
3.) Are you on any medications that may thin your blood (including aspirin)?
4.) When's the last time you got your blood tested? Have you ever had any insulin resistance? History of hypertension in your family?
5.) Any unknown allergies possibly?
Some of the less-likely possibilities are incredibly severe, but it seems like you'd have more symptoms if it was really something bad.

Spent all day yesterday on a golf course. This past week has hit record heat, clear blue skies. I feel like shit today, dizzy and nauseated.

But there is really nothing - unless over the past few months I have developed a new allergy or some other deficiency. Last blood test is only a few weeks ago and everything was excellent.
Anyway thanks for the input - I guess I'll try the doc again.

Edit: Nvm lol, sounds like Anemia to me but that woulda shown up on a blood test. Low t is a possibility as well, did they run a hormone panel?

I'm quite sure you don't get mutiple nose bleeds from "overtraining"

Some people (me) are just prone to nosebleeds. I get them every couple days during the winter, any time I do a long, low intensity cardio session for a couple days a row in the summer (like playing basketball every day for a couple days) and any time I'm dehydrated.
My first guess would have been some kind of vitamin deficiency. Are you getting much variety in your diet, or are you eating mostly the same things every day? Again though, that likely would have shown up in the bloodwork.

We need Dr. House!
If that is the case, I'd bet on lower T, get that checked :d. I'm quite sure you can even order a testing kit online, which could be a lot cheaper.

And if you get test boosters, you have to share them with TLHF!
Yesterday PM - Something resembling snatch doubles up to 100. Wasn't pretty. Did some sprints after. Way too hungover/sleep deprived T_T
Today AM Squats - 135 225 275 315 365 405 425 for a few singles. Failed a double. Ugh. triples at 315 365 405. Legs feeling weaaaaak. Need to get on a squat cycle.

The huge cortisol release after a really bad breakup could be the culprit, and 2 months isn't that long ago. I wouldn't worry about it unless it persists another 2 months or so. What's the quality of your sleep like?

Haven't been posting, and haven't been keeping records in my notebook =x. Gotta be doing at least one or the other!
Yesterday: 2 Rounds for total reps 2 minutes double unders (6/8) 2 minutes American Kettlebell Swing 70# (20/20) 2 minutes Hand Release Pushup (24/18) 1 minute rest
My first double unders. Dropped the 70 pound bell on the back of my neck twice, which was not fun.
Strength work: Front Squats 185 x 5 x 4, 185 x 3 x 3. Was supposed to be seven sets of 5, failed at the 4th rep on the last 3 sets. Legs were fine, but I couldn't keep my upper back up, so the bar was just rolling forward and dropping. I blame the kettlebell and tuesday's pullups.
EMOM for 7 minutes power clean triple beginning at 65% 1rm and adding 5 pounds to each set 120 through 155.
Today: 3 RFT: 500m Row 12 burpees 21 box jumps (24 inch)
Completed in 15:45. I hate burpees. Each set of burpees took me almost as long as each row.
Front Squat 95x3 135x3 155x3 175x3 185x3 205x3 (PR). Front squat was written as a 10x3, but I didn't have much time and I did volume yesterday. Worked up to a PR triple instead. previous heaviest front squat was 185x3, so yesterday was a rep PR as well, and my last front squat session (185x3x10) was a volume PR. Really easy 3, I think I have 225x3 in me if I hit them on a good day.
