The premier league has much deeper pockets than the Bundesliga. The international viewership is simply much bigger and the teams have wealthier investors. You can see the difference in population etc. when their national teams compete. Englands squad can't hold a candle to the german national team. Btw, Leverkusen is infamous for failing against established 'big' international teams. München would probably beat ManU and bayer is able to draw against them...

FINAL EDIT: 36 goals in 8 matches; that's exactly 4,5 goals per game today. CL, do you ever defend?

Seems like the defending in the Bundesliga is worse than in the Premier League too. And it's reflected in the national team.

Even without the loans there's still a lot more money involved in the BPL than any other league. Just to give a few reasons, like the structure in ownerships (50+1 rule). Taken from an article: "Arsenal charging them £62 to attend their League fixture at Emirates Stadium last month. In contrast, the average price to watch a Bundesliga match is £19.55. It also comes with the promise of free travel on public transport within a significant distance from the ground." While the Bundesliga have a lot to be happy about, the Premier League’s mammoth new TV deal is giving them cause for concern. Starting from next season, English clubs will share a pot in excess of £5billion between them until 2017. Early estimates suggest the club who finish bottom will receive £61million while the winners will bank around £100m. It is in stark contrast to Germany where champions elect Bayern Munich are expected to earn €38m (£32.7m) this season. “It’s a problem,” Borussia Dortmund chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke admitted. “The only area we can’t compete in is television. The other things we can certainly do a good job. link PL definetly >>> BL

TV Money for the next 3 years: German League: 1,72 Billion Premier League: 6,29 Billion Also the German system is way more "social" which means that everyone gets his share were in England and Spain the top clubs get way more then the mid or bottom clubs. I don´t even talk about depts or ManCity... To be honest its almost pathetic thaht the PL is so bad international with so much more money.

Even the lowest club of the PL gets more money from the TV-rights than the top of the Bundesliga. The bottom of La Liga is fucked though, as far as I remember Barca and Real set up their own deals, leaving the rest with the scraps.

Mabye they should have asked Klopp. And in regards of the Bundesliga vs EPL discussion i personally think that the important factor in the last decades was the competition (in favor of EPL). In Germany we have the same situation for years - no matter who is the attacking team (Bremen, Leverkusen, Schalke, Dortmund, Gladbach,...) - Bayern has got such an extrem financial advantage that they easy can change situations with just some transfers while the contender needs to have extrem good scouting/signings to even stay at the same level.

As long as Bayern stays in tip top international shape at least we get the points necessar to secure our CL-spots and the money that goes with them. Bayern maybe the dominating force in the bundeliga, but that domination has some benefits.

Bayern maybe the dominating force in the bundeliga, but that domination has some benefits. But also takes away much potential (in regard of developing teams - replacing players) for the rest. Take the BL matches - they are boring why should someone offer the same (or almost the same) money for BL as for EPL where the top matches are not so onesided as in Germany (fe. see the matches in the last years from schalke, leverkusen against Bayern). And lets be honest noone (excluding the team fans) wants to see onesided matches. Edit: that sounds like im blaming bayern for being to good but what i mean is that the BL needs to secure ways for other teams to develop to the top level without making bayern worst cuz at mom its too hard (if not impossible) for any team to keep a positive trend over some years going.

That was a typical Leverkusen performance against the "big guys". Just remember the 0-7 against Barca lol. That team has a fragile spirit. English is the global language, that's the PL's biggest advantage. The Spanish, Italian and German football cultures aren't worse in any way. People tend to underestimate the power of language.
