You mean the same year that messi scored 83 goals? Broke ages old gerd muller's season goal record and pele's one calendar year goal record? Yeah I really can't see how leo deserved it more, xD. Oh and it was the same year that leo was the first player to score 5 on a single champions league game, vs leverkusen iirc.
The closest cristiano has being to surpass messi was when they had a stalemate, both on 53 season goals. Every other season messi was on top.

How can it be one of Real Madrids most impressive seasons when they won no CL. Imo it's a requirement for RM to win a CL to have an impressive season their standard is just that high.

No because in Arsenal's case players would probably go to them, it's just they fail at getting a bid accepted by the club, then another club comes in and bids for said player and takes him instead.
Arsenal need to get out of of the 19th century transfer policy and come into the 21st, and quickly or they will not even make top 4 this season.
Well, the shareholders of Arsenal are running it like a business, as opposed to an outlet for billionaires to gain public/political influence. Can't really blame them, and it's great for longterm sustainability. Look what happened to Malaga, where the club is now falling apart because they were relying on money that isn't coming in anymore. Just need to readjust expectations . As long as they get top4 and champions league football they should be satisfied imo. If they still aren't willing to splash the cash, maybe in a few years they can challenge again once the new crop of Wenger youngsters are ready.

Arsenal isn't a business, it's a football club. It's not like the outlet for billionaires are even doing that well, the dominant teams are Bayern, Utd and Barcelona. None of which scared to splash a little cash when needed.
