I'd love to see him there though, his presence could probably make the team play better and perhaps make the match a bit less one-sided in the process... Why would it be one-sided? Bayern have undergone a lot more changes than Barca so far. Also it's pre-season and a rather meaningless match. This could go either way and in the end, nobody will really care. The cup will just be a way of testing stuff and seeing what certain aspects of the teams' games are at.
If anything has changed from last (one-sided) matches is the fact that Bayern has played more so far this pre-season, got a new and awesome coach whilst all that has happened at Barcelona is Tito's farewell. In terms of new players, Bayern also has had an advantage, and a direct one at that (Thiago, anyone?).
But you're right, it's a friendly pre-season and it can go either way just because of that.

I find funny that discussion about the brazilian names, but actually there are no "brazilian names" almost all names came from somewhere else and the actual popular portuguese(from Portugal) names too have an commom origin with other languages, like Manuel and Joaquin.
Some names may sound strange from your perspective because of pronunciation, Oscar for example, the english pronunciation in portuguese would be written "Óscar", while here we pronunce it Oscár. A lot of names are pronounced in a portuguese way. Manuel and Joaquin too have a different pronunciation from spanish.

Reports last month suggested that the 2009 MLS Newcomer of the Year was being sold outright to the Lisbon-based powerhouse, but Monday's announcement would appear to be a middle ground. Sporting CP will have an option to buy the 25-year-old on a permanent transfer, the Sounders said.
The length of the loan, however, was not disclosed. The deal is pending receipt of his International Transfer Clearance from Colombia to Portugal.
Montero had been on loan at Millonarios FC of the Colombian first division since January and led the club with seven goals during the 2012-13 season through 19 starts. He also chipped in two assists.

Hiddink would have been a bigger change though, and it wasn't the profile Barça was looking for. We needed a guy that can give continuity to the project and it's easier to do that with a relatively unknown coach than with a world wide famous guy. It seems like he plays his teams with a 4-3-3 and high pressure style, so I'm not really worried about the tactical aspect. I guess he's going to adapt himself to the team rather than the team is going to adopt his style
All in all, I think it's a great choice, there's no need to have a revolution, but having a guy from outside the club may be what the players need to get back on their feet and give 101% again. I'm sad for Roura that's probably going to leave the club, and possibly Rubi that just signed xD
edit : http://opinion.as.com/opinion/2013/07/23/portada/1374533317_152741.html , for the spanish speaking guys. Another disgusting 'opinion' from a AS/Marca/MD/Sport guy trying to make Messi look like he's a little dictator... I'm really tired of this, one day we're going to play bad for one whole season and they're going to say it's Messi's fault and he's going to leave :'(

But i just really wanted to see hiddink manage a great team again. I guess im a bigger hiddink fan than a barca fan, but how can u blame me after 2002 lol

And about the Falcao thing, it would be hilarious and not all all surprising if he was actually lying about his age. I think more professional players than people realise lie about how old they are. It would also explain why he would prioritise money over trophies. He doesn't have too long left to make as much money as he can if he's actually 29.

Indeed just imagine if he went to Chelsea/Real Madrid for the €50million and they found out he was 29! They would of went mad and tried to probably back out of the deal with clauses and stuff. Would of been a huge mess, no one in their right mind would pay £50million for a 29year old when he has 3 years left before his pace and body might start giving out

From Falcao's wikipedia page:
"Falcao made his debut for Lanceros Boyacá in the Colombian Categoría Primera B (second tier) on 28 August 1999 at the age of 13 years and 199 days, thus becoming the youngest debutant at that level of Colombian professional football"
Doesn't that sound fishy? lol

its not meaningless at all, with the recent dispute of Guardiola with Barca and the onesided semifinals in the championsleague. then theres Thiago, and Neymar and 2 of the best football clubs in the world. pretty big game I think. also Im in AllianzArena

Yeah but in terms of "what is on the line" nothing is on the line apart from getting players fit for the new season?
