In the germany media also was "He [Guardiola that is] wanted me to be a normal guy [rough translation, may insert player instead of guy]. But I am Zlatan: I like to be different, I like to be original. Guardiola didn't get along with that."
I am still wondering if the whole Ibrahimovic/Cavani thing works out over the season.
EDIT: There are rumours that Falcao has a release clause for Chelsea/ManUnited/Real Madrid. The amount isn't known, but I guess it's slightly above the amount that Monaco paid.

That's so mental, they blatantly aren't. The depth in the EPL blows la liga out of the water. The depth of what? Every time I hear the same thing, like there are more good teams in the EPL than in La Liga but I don't know where that comes from. Sure EPL teams tend to give 100% every week and a lot of small teams are able to beat the big ones, but that may be because the big teams aren't that good to start with...
The lack of tactical discipline is really huge and I'm sure that an Atletico would eat every top team in the EPL on a good day. People say that the defenders in la liga suck, but the whole defensive system of the EPL teams suck. And when they don't suck it's when they decided to go for a 0-0 or a 1-0. It's been a very long time since I've seen a very good English team. Man. U several years ago was good but never scary. Chelsea was probably the scariest at this period of time when they were under Mourinho, but that's all I can think of.
I'm not even trying to cheer for la Liga because like I said before, it's a lot less entertaining than the EPL. But the average team in La Liga is, for me, better than the EPL one.

When you watch EPL do you smear vaseline on your eyes and when you watch la liga do you exclusively watch barca/rm/atletico?
that might be the issue.
Half the time I watch la liga the lower half teams can't even string 3 or 4 passes together, they play like championship sides, and their defenders dive around like retarded seals. There are plenty of legit teams in the liga but they can't compare with the lineup of Man U Man City Chelsea Liverpool Arsenal Tottenham Everton. I'll wager the premier league means more to the teams in the premier league than the liga does to the teams in la liga, when compared to European competitions (especially the Europa league which most teams don't care about)...and that's why you will see a better performance from liga teams than epl teams. The inflexibility of match scheduling in the EPL doesn't help either.

Well the best teams of the EPL can't even "string 3 or 4 passes together" so...

Ummm... what. English teams can very well compete with La Liga teams. The very top (Barcelona) may be stronger than any English team, Real Madrid already isn't. The average EPL team is better than the average La Liga team.

Wow ManCity has bad luck with their CB's. Demichelis injured, will miss about 6 weeks.

What we need is a Davis Cup style match between La Liga vs Premier League. Home and away matches between every team vs the corresponding team finishing in the same ranking on the other league, capped off with an all-star game with the best from both leagues.

You sir are a genius.
We need a league system for leagues.
So we can do this for every league and rank them :D.
first division is germany, spain, england, italy.
Second division is holland, portugal, russia, turkey
Third is like belgium, ukraine etc :D

No France?

Give this man some money and he can fund it :3 In an off season where isn't any world cup/euro this would be ever so much fun xD
TBF thinking about it, you could just make it a pre season tournament every year lol. Be good experience for all teams involved. Could literally make it the whole league vs league lol.

I think he just forgot (Edit: I was right :D ). France into 2nd, Turkey into 3rd. I think we should go after the UEFA ranking here which atm would give us:
1st Div: Spain, England, Germany, Italy 2nd Div: Portugal, France, Russia, Netherlands 3rd Div: Ukraine, Belgium, Turkey, Switzerland
Edit ontop of the Edit ontop of the Edit:
This is a very good idea imo and "just" 3 more games/team a season.

the league battle classic. It would be so epic as hell. Each position in each league versus their equally ranked opponents, to decide the best :D.

I'm of the same opinion as WillyWanker when it comes to tactical discipline. Most of the time I watch a BPL match between top teams it's pretty gross. Lack of system, lack of strategy. Just good players running around like headless chicken and then some of those great players make some fantastic individual action that results in a goal.
Sure it's entertaining because the ball switches sides a lot and it's very physical, but tactically it's pretty gross. Dutch teams >>>> English teams tactically because they have to. They don't have money to splurge. The #20 in the BPL has a higher budget than the #1 in the Eredivisie but the #1 team will destroy the #20 team. That should tell you enough. The fact that my team (Ajax) beat Man C last year in Europe with a budget 1/8th their size should tell enough.
And I don't see how anyone could be of the opinion that one league 'blows the other out of the water' between La Liga and the BPL. I think the argument that English teams don't care about the Europa League is a very poor one. It's a poor choice made by the management to use b-teams. That they lose to Spanish sides because of it is just poor management, especially with their 30-40 player squads.
Man U Man City Chelsea Liverpool Arsenal Tottenham Everton Barca, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Valencia, Malaga, Real Sociedad, Atletico Bilbao, Sevilla.
I'd bet on the Spanish teams (if you take last season into account).
+ Show Spoiler +Disclaimer: I like both leagues. In the BPL I like teams that have my favorite (mostly Dutch or old-Ajax) players in them and I have a slight preference for Tottenham and Arsenal because they play nicer attacking football imo. Then I <3<3 Messi and I have a slight preference for Barcelona anyway so I try not to miss any Barca games.

I dont like comparing budget to tactics quality.
I mean BVB has quite a low budget but can beat Real and Bayern. Bayern beats Barca with less money. Does this mean BuLi > La Liga tactically wise?
