Okay, why are people complaining about the engine sound?
1) Complaining you don't have to wear earplugs? It's healthier... Why is that an issue? 2) The cars are expected to be faster at the end of the year than last years cars. Right now they are about 2 seconds slower a lap than last year, but the technology is still very new. 3) The research and technology in formula one will have an actual application to the real world, is that not good? That's what we want. 4) According to driver's, these cars are more difficult to handle. Driver skill has a larger outcome on races is very good.
People are just trying to find things to complain about imo. People just dislike change is all. Really the only thing to dislike in my eyes in the weird penis shaped noses that come from the regulation, Adrian Newey agrees. The changes are good, it's keeping the costs lower and adding a new element to formula 1.
Changes have to be made due to improvements in technology and in changes in society. Just like when people complained about removing the Turbo's.... It had to be done, and this is a step in the right direction imo. Just give it a shot and warm up to it.
Edit: Do people not know that more sound an engine generates, the more energy losses there are, and therefore the less efficient it is? -__-

Woop Hamilton on pole again, hopefully he can actually race tommorow.

Its the F1 side people trying to raise the noise issues so that everyone will forget the more unnatural double points for last race. As for me, I prefer the softer sounds that the engine makes.

I complain about them because I'd rather listen to racing cars during a race, not a bunch of lawnmowers.
Anyway, Hamilton again does very well in rain, I think he's the best rain driver ever since he joined. Maybe his car won't break down during the race and he can get some points. Hopefully no rain tomorrow and only a great race!

Yeah, everyone now wants the team with the fastest car that no one else can usually get close to to win everything!
Last year everyone complains because Red Bull dominate. This year Mercedes are dominating, everyone's happy and wants them to win it all.

its only been 1 race and 2 qualifyings so far and red bull were pretty close this time. Too early to say mercedes are dominating.

Too early to say mercedes are dominating. It was a wet qualifying... And Mercedes have a massively superior engine, and they got a 24sec winning margin last race despite a safety car. They have the dominant car in the dry. And people want them to dominate with it... even though they complained last year.
And it's been various testing and practice sessions, plus a race.

How is it listening to a lawnmower? They are the same speed (actually faster straight-line speed) as last years cars. How are they not racing cars exactly? The sound defines whether a car is a racing car or not?
These are new evolution cars using advanced technology, and are in fast very fast racing cars. Just because they sound different doesn't mean their not racing cars. Just trying to make you a little bit more optimistic is all.

I think the Ferraris are actually quite competitive. They raced Melbourne with a problem and still finished 4/7. They qualified 3/6 this time. Alonso and Kimi are two of the most consistent drivers on the grid, and Alonso is probably the fastest on a Sunday.
Personally I'd like to see a Vettel win to curtail all the naysayers.

I guess you never heard a formula one car (pre-2014) in the flesh and that is why you don't understand.
Aww Mercedes are dominating after one race win with that engine nobody else has in their car.... please. The Red Bull is still the best car or at least as good, they are just a long way behind in development because they had self inflicted reliability issues all winter. This season won't be Merc dominated, mark my words it will be a battle between them and RB who both have awesome cars.

You don't like the dicks, we don't like the sound. Surely that's not that difficult to understand, no?

Red Bull can't fix that. And hey, one driver with a big gap. So exciting.
