Fucking hell for the first time in years one can actually hear something meaningful: tires squeaking, floor scratching, turbo chirping, it's brilliant...

He had a pretty good start and shortly after took over Hamilton before his (Hamilton's) problems started. Then he just stayed at 3rd throughout the whole race, doing nothing. Button got to him about halfway through the race, but didn't even try to attack him or anything. All in all he got his position very early and carried it to the end.

Anyway, the fact that they didn't show split times between drivers is ridiculous, makes it impossible to tell what's going on in the race. They were having telemetry problems all race long pretty much, sometimes it would show all the times, other times it would just have the list stacked on top of each other making it unreadable, but I had no problem working out what was going on and peoples relative pace...

Button was never really close enough to actually attack him - the only time Button got close was when Magnussen was slowed by Riccardo towards the end.

Bit of a shame, Horner says they knew they had a broken fuel sensor after qualifying yet the FIA made them put it back on with an offset. So they might get it back still. I thought this was about the camera at first since there is talk it might be illegal.

Rosberg - Unable to judge without the comparison of Hamilton. Created gap when needed to. Solid pace. Magnussen - Good race. Again difficult to compare since he was in dirty air of Ricciardo and Jenson had clear air. Button - Good race. Got the undercut and showed better pace than Magnussen. Slightly better race than Magnussen. Alonso - Apparently Ferrari had problems, but unequivocally stronger race than Raikkonen. Clean, fast, solid. Bottas - Sad. Probably would have beaten Alonso and raced for 2nd/3rd/4rth if not for his mistake thru chicane. Not so good. Hulkenberg - Amazing. Kept the train behind him while outpacing Perez by much. Jev - Good pace. A few mistakes cost him. Kvyat - Consistent but not as quick as Jev. Unpredictable. The rest were quite lackluster.

+ some good midfield action throughout - first race of the season and already there is a team literally miles ahead of the competition - 8 DNF + 1 DQ - and most of those DNF were from technical issues; there was only one "accident" and that was from another car which did have a technical issue - marussia still shit, seriously, why are they still in f1? + Show Spoiler + BOTH their cars failed on the parade lap. well, atleast they got them repaired and got a majority of laps in basically, imo, it was a disaster. the teams and cars were obviously no where near ready to put on a race. just embarrassing.
