He's got a lot of heart though and I don't get why the other guy is knocking Reimer. He's a good young goalie.

Also I very much think grabs can be a 50 point guy again with top 6 minutes, esp with those forwards. Toronto is quite good offensively. His issue is that he has been getting a lot less ice time, getting tougher minutes, and playing with less skilled fowards. TOI: He averaged 15:34 this year (posted 16pts; or less than 30 if this production were over 82 games); 17:36 (51pts) in 2012 and 19:21 (58pts) two years ago. All three of those years, including this, he was within 1% either way of his career S%. Grabs advanced stats show the same slide into a shutdown role: Offensive zone starts: 13: 36.7 (Bozak had 44.8 for comparison) 12: 53 11: 50.2 Qualcomp has gone up a ton too. While it isn't a straight forward stat like OZS%, you can still clearly see that he has been facing tougher minutes. 13: 2.5 12: .9 11: .6 While it is certainly a possibility that he peaked and can't return to form, the stats show that he's not exactly being put out there in optimal scoring positions anymore

Also, when Anderson started playing again it was like he never got hurt. He has been our backbone all year, and could take us far if we keep our defending up and keep getting the dirty goals. So stoked, go sens go!

Big props to bishop/lehner for keeping us in the running, and everyone else who stepped up from the AHL to basically fill the roles of superstars. So stoked, go sens go! The Habs aren't really a good measuring stick but I love the amount of youth on the Ottawa club. Going to be fun to see who they play next round! I suppose that's what happens when the majority of your top scorers draw nothing but blanks in the postseason. There was plenty of warning before the post-season came that this wouldn't be their year just like there were a lot of alarm bells ringing when you watch the Leafs play. That's why it would have been enjoyable to see them play each other in the first round because I'm sure those games would deliver. o;

We get a good rest now after round 1, and I think the sens have amazing conditioning and fitness, and will only get harder to play as the playoffs go. MTL clearly couldn't go toe-to-toe with us physically, and I don't know if anyone other than Boston actually can. Hoping NYI draws out that series to 7 games, tire Pittsburgh out ![]()

Montreal's line-up hasn't been physically menacing for many years man and that's been one of the knocks on them. That's why they brought in warriors like Prust and Armstrong.

He really gave a near-perfect performance except one time in the second period he stood behind the goal too long with the puck and got tied up getting back, that could have been bad. As a Pens fan I can only hope he gets hot and the Pens don't forget how to hit in game 6, they didn't forget how to tonight and the Islanders looked a little tired at the end of the second period and the end of the third. I like how Vokoun is aggressive to get at the puck on the dump-in and he tries to direct his pad saves into the corner which I like. Again I hope he gets hot. Putting guys like Vitale in the lineup was huge. The fourth line crushed it. Bring that energy to game 6 guys and it'll be time to meet Ottawa.

It's becoming a dying art form to see a goaltender be able to handle the puck well behind the net well in those situations. A real asset if they can get it to their d and transition out of the zone. Tomas is as good as it's going to get for Pittsburgh. You're going to have to ride him/
