Crosby apparently is an MVP for being out a third of the season and his team not noticing, Ovi I actually get since he got hot and the Caps followed suit, then Tavares which I dont know that much about but he didnt seem that vital to the Isles in the games I saw. I just think its rather ridiculous no one from the West got nominated at all. East Coast bias is too strong I guess
You say that they're a joke, but you only have a legitimate reason for one of the players...?

the amount of anger I feel towards Babcock for putting out 5 rookies in the OT, for Lashoff (whose very presence on the ice, along with Quincey and a bunch of other pluggers I obviously blame on Holland just not giving a fuck or whatever) just casually wondering of behind his and for Nyquist getting beat outright is indescribable. The Red Wings very much could have come home to Detroit with a 3-2 lead, with 3 backbreaking wins against Anaheim in OT.
Wings still have a decent change to win it all, and Howard has kept them in this so far but this is the second playoff in a row where Babcock is getting outcoached -- at the very least in the defense end when Datsyuk and Zetterberg arent on the ice to play as extra defenders.
But I do keep hearing these rumors that Vancouver might move Edler to the Wings (since they arent going to be conference rivals) for a younger, cheaper d man (either Kindl or Smith). If that does happen, and Edler re-learns how to play D after this pretty mediocre year for him, then at least the Wings can have the semblance of re-assembling a decent defensive corps for next year and maybe Datsyuk will actually resign. Otherwise, if Holland keeps recycling a bunch of old crap onto the ice then Datsyuk is done with this league -- which I think will be a tragedy for all true hockey fans.

Classic Leafs hockey right here in the third. -_-

I always enjoy seeing Boston lose.

Major props to the Wings. They simply don't quit.

Okay, so I step away to take a dump, and the Ducks have tied the game from two down. Looks like I spoke too soon.

I love the Ducks versus Wings.
|
*sigh* Wings. You never can just make it easy can you?

In other news Mikey boy scored in OT for the Caps yay!

Jesus that Capitals/Rangers OT was insane. So much back and forth.

Great games tonight, Leafs keep it alive, now the Red Wings turn.
|
so the leafs have won more playoff games this season than the slabs and canubs combined! lawl

forgot my obligatory go leafs go!!

god damn red wings, cant ever win a normal, crushing victory. 3 OTs now. now close it out, maybe with a Howard shut out.

Go Caps go!
Rangers play some fine playoffs hockey though. Good defence, solid goaltending and very physical. Tough! I'd like to not go into game 7...

Crushing heartbreak for STL Blues fans tonight. A well fought series marred by too many chances and not enough finish. Good luck to those fans still in the dance. This Note fan is gonna be sad for a while.
GG Kings.

Blues need to trade Tarasenko for a bonefined 1st line forward. Their scoring by committee doesnt seem to work against a decent goalie -- quick this year is not the quick of last year and the Kings were eminently beatable. Maybe call up Van and see if theyll give you the Sedins for Tarasenko and a couple of picks. Your goons can protect them while they cycle and they will provide an extra dimension so you wont have to rely on freaking Alex Steen.

Come on Wings...DO IT! Upset a high seed and take the place of those teams in the past that upset you when you were a high seed!

Doesn't Tarasenko have first-line potential? And he sure costs a hell of a lot less than an established top line forward.
