Your goons can protect them while they cycle and they will provide an extra dimension so you wont have to rely on freaking Alex Steen. Doesn't Tarasenko have first-line potential? And he sure costs a hell of a lot less than an established top line forward. he may have the potential, but the Blues need results now, not in another 3 years when he grows up. And they have plenty of cap space. You can keep stocking up young talent all you want but then youll have plenty of chokes like the oe they just did vs. La.

Simply not going to happen. Trading Tarasenko might be one of the worst moves the franchise has ever done, which is saying something. You don't trade from a weakness to address a weakness. They need a #1 center pretty clearly, but they can package some of their wingers and/or Shattenkirk to fill that hole, not their most dynamic offensive player.

Maple Leaf Square will be abso-fucking-lutely nutz tomorrow night. Can't Wait!

Pretty tough to call losing to last year's champs who happen to play a smart and physical game a "choke." In watching 3 of those games, I think it was clear that they did need something of an elite talent to help them at forward. Granted, LA doesn't play a superstar game themselves. Those were all hard-fought games.

St. Louis is a good team.

...Why would they trade Shattenkirk?

You can't beat Quick on solid effort alone sadly. Either Elliott needed to steal a game or they needed a sniper to step up. St. Louis is really solid all-around, but they just don't have anyone that can score. I really liked the Blues too :c

No one is going to give you a legitimate #1 center for the 2nd line wingers and a 2d pairing d man. If the Blues want to go further than the first round they need to make a bold move. Otherwise, in another 3 years when his rookie contract is out he will be gone.

How the hell are the Isles out-shooting the Pens by a 2-1 margin with just 10 minutes remaining in the game?

better yet, how is the game tied with that statistic?

well, let's examine Vokoun's career playoff save percentage first before we worry about actually watching the game. let's do the same with Glenn Resch and Billy Smith and Felix Potvin and Patrick Roy and Ken Wregget and Alan Bester and Curtis Joseph and Corey Schwab...
"the best hockey game ever played" featured a 3:1 ratio in shots. and a 4:1 ratio in offensive zone time.
|
Well, that makes next round that much harder for the Sens, was really hoping for the Islanders to at least take it to 7 games.

It's going to be hard regardless.

Those are the kinds of goal you need in the playoffs if you expect to advance. Especially when you're playing bad for long stretches of games.
Vokoun made some absolutely ridiculous saves again late.
LET'S GO PENS

Even if they lost Isle's did phenomenal this season imo. Was amazing to be at the last home game, and game 4 this series. was amazing to see so many people at the Coliseum in the playoffs. Good fight they gave to the Pens too. Next year i hope is even better, cheers to the Islanders on a damn good year.
