Well I personally don't give a fuck about aesthetics and I look nowhere near lOvOlUNiMEDiA. So to me that is an impressive result. I also don't get why an above average girl should care about aesthetics more than an average girl. And there are definitely plenty of girls who would consider more mass less attractive, below, above and just average.
That being said I agree that Chris Hemsworth is the sexiest guy on the planet. I am definitely a fan, but how can you not admire THOR?

If a girl can't appreciate the fact my leg is bigger than her waist then i will not be pursuing her! (havent met one that doesn't :p)

Chris Hemsworth works his ass off to look the way he does, but he also 100% takes steroids. Greg Plitt is someone who claims to be natural (I doubt he is, but he's definitely in the natural limit range, as far as his muscular size and weight).

I bought it and the book is great!!

Why is he 100% steroids? I know people that big if not bigger that have never touched juice. If my job was basically just to look good on camera and had unlimited resources in terms of food and working out i could probably hit that physique in a year.

Hahaha Forrest Griffin reviewed it with a video! Awesome.

Chris could easily just have good genetics. Personally I think nobody looked better than Brad Pitt in Troy.
edit: oh, and Christian Bale in American Psycho. Not to be ignorant/sexist or anything but how many men spontaneously went gay after watching that movie?

Pretty much everyone agrees that the time it took for him to go from already ripped to super jacked for the movie role, would be impossible without the use of steroids. You can see on google how much smaller he was. Mind you, this is really common in hollywood these days. The actors get monitored well by doctors to ensure there aren't any health complications from taking them. I would do the same if I got offered a movie role worth millions. If you think you can achieve his physique in 1 year naturally, you're dead wrong. It takes at least several years and good genetics.

These days you have good genetics AND roid. Thats just the way it is.

It's not like i'm starting from nowhere, chris was only like 200lbs at 6'3. I'm already a fairly lean 220 at 6'1 ...if i dropped fat and hit an upper body BB routine I imagine I could if nothing else get pretty close. It's not like he's professional body builder status. I just think people these days tend to do discredit what can be done naturally.

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2011/aug/24/peds-find-their-role-in-hollywood/?page=all Steroids in hollywood is almost "mainstream"..I've lived there too. I'm not saying there's a bunch of steroid freaks walking around everywhere you go, but there loads of people on the juice at the gyms, including the really exclusive gyms for rich/famous people. My friend's dad and lots of his friends juiced, even though they're just businessmen (which is kinda weird). It's kinda similar too how in hollywood and beverly hills etc. there tons of women with plastic surgeries and fake boobs.
As for Thor's size, he is not insanely huge, but going from small to big in a MATTER OF MONTHS..and considering the culture there..it is fairly obvious he juiced..and there's nothing wrong with that IMO.
@decaf: I misread. I thought you meant after your 1st year of lifting. You have way more experience than Hemsworth had btw.

Ah yeah if i was just starting out i wouldn't be able to hit that in a year lols

Christ I hate unracking the front squat. The first lockout when I exhale I always feel close to passing out.
edit: also today, I really, really focused on keeping my knees out, and I did it, not a single rep with caved knees despite max weight. For some reason that made my knees hurt more. Squats, why do you hate me when I love you so much?

Man, I'm so fucking weak I'm appaling myself. I'm a month into SS and I failed to increase my Bench to 50 kg's from 47.5. Ugh.. I also couldn't increase my OHP from 27.5 to 30kg's 2 days ago. I'm definitely getting bigger tho, so atleast I have that going for me. I am about 60 kg's by the way. So how terrible are these numbers for a month of SS?
|
Being able to bench 3x5 75% of your bodyweight after a month is awesome. Your OHP is rather low in comparison, but that's probably an issue of form/experience rather than raw strength.

Seriously? I see all these people in the gym benching 80/100 kg's, I'm always the weakest :/ I did start doing the OHP later than the bench.
|
yeah but those people didnt start benching 1 month ago
|
If you bench to heavy, it will also put a lot of stress on your shoulder. I guess those guys work out for a longer time and have build muscles they need to savely bench it. From a point of strength you potentially can bench more, but it will hurt your shoulder in the long run. I don't think you are weak, you are just 60kg lol.

As a general rule, one ought to pull twice as much as they push, given that they want to lift in the long term and want their shoulders to remain healthy.
