I have until August 15th to those and a little bit later on UBC, but I'm on the waiting list on Waterloo... I thought my 87.4% average would be just fine, but I decided to slack ELA and ended with a 74%. =/ If I come to Waterloo we definitely will though! Ouch, when do you find out from Waterloo? Good luck getting in.

As for now, my regular diet gets WAY hungrier than usual after I started these sessions (been doing them 6 times a week).
Here is the quandary though, if I eat more, I would definitely get more energy in my body and thus translate into a more proficient workout. But according to the tradition, that won't help me to lose a pittance of belly fat that I am trying to rid off. So what should I do?
Eat more? Keep me old diet? The thing that I find if that I get hungrier way more often than the pre-exercising periods.
If you want to lose fat, cardio is not the best way to go about doing it. Work on low volume high intensity strength exercises to maintain your muscle mass as you lose weight. Intermittent fasting is something that has worked for me and many others on TL to help with losing weight.
Read the nutrition and training stickies in this forum. They contain so much information that I can't summarize into a few lines.

It's just about pacing it. Figure out how many calories your body needs a day, and aim 500 below it. Honestly working out one hour a day while having a calorie intake 500 lower than your usage is perfect for the average person. Any lower and your muscles will take a toll, your overall health might, and it's just not good to put your body under the serious of a stress.
Unless you're looking into losing 200lb, you can do that and you'll lose fat at a pace of 5-10lb a month type of thing, if you're trying to just lose like under 15lb, I suggest you just eat at your energy output, and workout, you'll get rid of it while gaining muscle mass.

Guys I'm really at the brink of breaking down in tears here. The last time I've checked my weight was 168 pounds, that was around a year ago. I'm going to presumptuous here and take a dart in the dark and assume that most of you here have muscle mass that far exceed that number.
Flash forwarding to modern time, came back from my family doctor with my newest mass of 138 pounds....
That's around 30 pounds lost. BUT truthfully speaking, on the contrary to my Football playing lifestyle prior to the one year period, I did absolute minimum exercise until this week. And I somehow still managed to lowering my mass.
But before you guys start to cheer me on this "accomplishment", don't. Reason behind that is that I have been engaging in a very illegal form of recreational activities. So yada yada yada, guys please promise me to not do drugs. As for now, Mary Jane have placed a dent in my physicality.
From my previous posts, I thought I was still at my original mass that needed much to sculpt on my abdominal area. However what I truly need is to get my life back in track as my diet lied in shamble.
But I gotta thanks the admins to open up this subforum so I can pour out my current state of emotions.

That's not good! Don't worry, hope is never lost. Definitely time for you to start upping your intake and getting into a routine daily diet that will put you at a 200-500 calorie surplus for the next few months. Combined with exercise (ideally weight training for body recomposition) you will see drastic improvements relatively soon and find yourself pleasantly surprised a year from now. If the problem is the weed then yes you'll need to cut it out of your life, personally most people i know put on weight from it not lose 30 pounds lol.

Yeah lol I totally understand those people. Once you get munchies, it is a force to be reckoned with. My lifestyle was that I would smoke around 6 o clock to replace my dinner and then once again at 9 o clock (yes P.M. time). For me a 'high' last me for 3 and half hours and the appetite time would start right after the initial feel wears off. But I timed it so that I would fall asleep @ 12 o clock nighttime, just 30 minutes before the effect takes place and then just let the exhaustion and the drug to take me away. Essentially speaking, I 'cheated' or completely 'bypassed' dinner and the side effect. And 8 hours later, I would sometime wake n bake, thus skipping breakfast completely. So really at some days, I would only eat a meal/day.
It was so funny because the drug acts like a painkiller on you and even though I was eating at a minimal rate, I was still working out by running for 2 miles/day and still managed to perform 75 pushups. But at the time, I didn't know what the future toll holds for that egregious lifestyle and thought that I was being clever by abusing the substance.
And now after being clean for 1 whole month, I am starting to get back to the days before I began utilizing the weed like drinking water such as eating properly (today I've FINALLY managed to break the 2.2K Calorie mark which is the highest intake that I've done all year up from the last August).
But the thing is Idk if it would be 'normal' to take more than 3K Calories if my body tells me to (feeling hungry at all time due to exercise and such).

I got with my gf again for a last time, and she told she felt during our 5 months together I didn't care about her. Can't believe that happened, given how much I care(d) for her. In pain and sorrow, I'll get more shit done than ever before. I know what she felt; that I took her for granted. I did that with everything. Don't fucking procastinate, always work on getting shit done better. I rationally know she wasn't emotionally stable and prolly a bad girlfriend, but still, she was the first girl I ever cared about. I'll do lots of booze and whores, but it'll prolly felt empty for a long time.

Really sad for you, but why booze and whores?! That's not the way to deal with it. Hopefully it's just you being emotional. You need to focus on other, non-sex type things, projects such as weight training, and take a good dose of time. Time heals everything, just don't do anything drastic and pick up gonorrhoea!
PS nice numbers, FS x10 like a boss.

Nonsense, booze and whore are the correct choice. Sometimes you just have to embrace self destruction.
|
I whole-heartedly support the booze and whore concept. go make yourself forget, gotunk!

My legs were apparently destroyed yesterday with 100 kg x 10 x 3, and a probably 20 reps or so of light overhead squats. Evidently there's a huge difference b/w doing 125 kg x 5 and even 100 kg x 10s. Geez.
Gonna go take a cold bath at some point tonight, and hope to feel better tomorrow so I can do more squats tomorrow!
+1 on booze and whore, esp booze
BW also helps, I'd think.

Girls suck. +1 for booze and whores.
In between booze and whores is a good time to throw yourself into training though. When i broke up with my first gf is when i started really getting after it, thats when i got my deadlift from 425 -> 485 and squat from 405-445 while dropping from 215 to a ripped 200. Life was all uphill from there.

PR BITCHES

Seems like a lot of people use weight training and casual sex/ disregarding of feelings as a method of getting over their emotional solitude :/, not healthy imo.
In terms of workout, was enjoying starting every day with a bunch of cleans but I got to a point today where my back literally gave up, and the muscles were so tired I couldn't walk. Anyone else experience that? I guess I should give it a day or two rest before I go back to them otherwise I won't be able to attempt heavy squats.

Gaining weight. Not sure where how I"m gaining weight, but have gained 10 pounds in like a week. (water weight ofc, but at least a few of those are real)

i think that if you are mobile (and careful) enough then your back shouldnt ache at any point doing cleans
if you are doing like 25, 40, 50, 57kg cleans straight from the floor then it will make your back ache because they are too low down. i personally raise these higher off the floor by standing them on TWO 20kg plates each side (and next session i will probably make them even higher..).
also, even tho these are such low weights, you should be very careful when putting them on the bar . if you bend your back rather than your knees at any time (like picking up a 5kg weight from the floor) then you are asking to get an aching back very very quickly. however if you are very careful this wont happen.
tldr: personally i was getting an aching back from cleans before i started to raise them at least 2 plates off the ground, especially during the lighter sets where i was less careful, but will also do the same for 60kg cleans now ive realised the importance of this for me

Nom nom nom... Smoked salmon risotto.... nom nom nom...
Don't often eat fish (unless in oily capsule form) so it's good to get some omega-3 the old fashioned way!
