In the fasting period Im not allowed to consume any cals but the few execptions listed on the site( e.g.los sugar gum or coffee ( dont drink it anyway)). Does that also drinking milk in the morning then? I've raised to drink my glass of milk in the morning all my life but I kinda like the Martin's attitude ( You don't know shit and Im here to tell you :D) Does it make any difference to drink my milk late afternoon or in the evening? 2. Is leangains a program people continue even after they accomplished their desired goal (let's say visible sixpack or 8% bodyfat) or is it only to cut? Would be nice if anyone can link me a source about what bulking and cutting actually means anyway. I ( 170cm 82kg) started Stronglifts in october and have improved my lifts since then. ( squat 50kg-> 115kg, DL 50kg-> 120kg, BP:40->75kg) but while I saw a bit of body fat vanishing but my strength/msucles obviously improved, but my weight stayed the same. There's still a lot of bodyfat though my goal ultimately is 70 kg and visible abs. Does it mean I'm now now basically in the cutting process after building my strength? Thanks for answering my noob question Im still kinda new to this whole lifting business) 1. fasting means fasting. If you're doing leangains, and you chose for your fast to be through the night and into the morning hours (most common) then you won't be having that milk in the morning any longer. Replace it with water or black coffee. 2. Leangains with lower total calories is used for cutting while maintaining as much muscle as possible. Leangains with Higher Calories is used for bulking while adding as little fat as possible. Leangains somewhere in the middle is used to stay "as you are". It's a program that you'll use as long as you are happy using it, and as long as you want to maintain whatever result you are seeing from the program.

I don't really feel hungry even on a cut, and it's easier to manage eating because I eat big two times a day.

I know I am going to have to miss a workout in the next few days because of travel so I went crazy tonight. And I also miscalculated my warmups for overhead press. I felt like, "What the fuck? Why can't I lift this anymore?" Only to realize that I was doing 10 more pounds than I thought I was. So I grinded out as many more reps as I could as a bonus set. Oh, another thing on the OHP. I know my form isn't the prettiest and I don't move a lot of weight, but man I know enough to generally correct myself and I don't need 'Mr. nonsense talking old dude' telling me that I should change my breathing or that I shouldn't be locking out at all. WTF? Nevermind that if I had breathed like he suggested I would have lost rigidity and dropped the damn bar.

WTF? Nevermind that if I had breathed like he suggested I would have lost rigidity and dropped the damn bar. Tips for taking workout advice: When taking advice for the squat, DL, or power clean I generally ask the advice giver to demonstrate, and then gesture at the loaded bar. One of three results follows: #1 - advisor mumbles something about not being tired for their "leg day" next week and walks off (discount advice) #2 - advisor completes a set with shockingly terrible form and miniscule range of motion (discount advice) #3 - advisor whips out a perfect set with my work weight without appearing to put in any effort (consider advice and adjust form accordingly) When taking advice for the OHP, rows and bench, I'll usually try it once and if I don't like it, go back to what I was doing. I'm much more confident in my bench form than I used to be, but it has taken TONS of trial and error, youtube videos, and a little bit of helpful advice to get to where I am. I figure the chance of hurting myself isn't as high here as with the squat or DL, so I can take a chance just once on something that could help me.

funkie just got back to the gym! yay! for me, after like a month and a half of hiatus I'm back. Returning Lifts Squat: 110kg x 3 x 5 (I left with my max at 120kg) · Felt pretty good, I was kind of drained out after this, but I kept going! Bench: 80kg x 3 x 5 (max 90kg). good form and good speed. yay. Deadlift 130kg x 1 x 5 (max 150kg) this one took the largest hit, I remember, before leaving for the US I lifted 160 x 1 x 3 Gotta step up in the deadlift department! tomorrow! Power Clean, front Squat and Maybe some Clean and Jerk? Is this good? Mixing that kind of workout, Powerclean and Front Squat and then doing a couple of sets of Clean and jerk? somebody advice. I'm also having trouble mixing muscle milk it says 10-12 for 2 scoops (that is roughly 350ml and those scoops are huge fuck). Better to mix it with water or milk?

I think as long as one of those is technique work, you'll be alright. Say, heavy PC and Front squat, then technique or speed or whatever practice on C&J at the end of the workout shouldn't kill you. Talk to the oly guys though? As far as mixing, I usually use WAY more liquid than required - but I'm drinking a lot of milk anyway, because I want the extra calories. I'm talking 16 oz for a single scoop of powder. I'm also using whole milk, but again that's for the calories (and it tastes better imo) so if you were cutting I would probably stick to water?

Made a pr power snatch of 82. Then I just missed power snatching 85. I felt good so I started to snatch at 90, which I missed twice. I then said fuck it and put on 94kg for a pr. Missed it just behind the first time, then stuck the lift on the 2nd. ![]() Went on to clean and jerk 110 and then stopped. PR total: 204kg ![]()

![]() I moved down to 3x5 from SL5x5 as that is the instructions but I had a few weeks break and not much progress since then because i've been on 0-500 calories for a few weeks and lost 10lbs of hard work. This is because I have no money (lots was stolen by dad) and other reasons that are private. So, I've actually lost progress but I havn't lost hope, it takes a lot more then this for a man to quit on anything let alone throwing around heavy shit! <3

Didn't get advice on negative pullups last time and then ones I attempted seemed futile in comparision to the negative pullups. Any tips?
