Just give budget, and whether or not you need monitor+peripherals. Computer Build Thread. Also (get an SSD, that shit is amazing). Research of parts is the hardest part, putting it together is fairly easy (unless it's terribly designed case)

Yeah my first building experience wasn't fun in the end, at least lessons were learnt.
Ha, I went the opposite route, my case is about 2x the size it needs to be and has more fans than my motherboard can even supply power to, to the point where the interior of my case is actually colder than the room around it. My engineer friends say this defies physics, but it seems to work.

Wii U is awesome. The marketing was absolute trash.
I like a console that gives me something that my PC wouldn't otherwise. I love the Wii U gamepad, and the games I have for it are very fun. Really looking forward to picking up DK.

If it weren't for my living situation (no TV) and the whole spending-all-my-time-on-campus thing, I would absolutely buy a Wii U. I love platformers and Retro did a fantastic job with DKCR, so I'm unbearably excited for Tropical Freeze. The Rayman revival is similarly fantabulous. Also, fingers are super crossed for a remake of/sequel to Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles. A proper sequel, pls. Or, better yet, Four Swords Adventures II. Best game ever for 4-person coop.

Building a computer isn't that bad, you can get a lot of good feedback from TL and wei is obviously more than willing to give input. It's how I did it.

Wheres the broodwar bgh 2v2v2v2/3v3/racewars option?

I haven't posted about this because night shift makes me sleepy. I'll be around for it. Atleast league, I think were going to have people over so IDK how long I can play.

I got my WC3 up and running. I have Uther Party Ultima-X, Jungle Race, Mansion Murderer, and Warlock which I think will all be hilarious to play.

The only time I care about PC components is when I'm buying them and I hate figuring out the latest nVidia/ATI coding scheme and what last years coding scheme was and which one is better. Same goes for AMD/Intel processors, and motherboard chipsets too. And then there's random stuff too, like how Blu-Ray drives are still crappy because they need crappy proprietary software to play Blu-Rays.
I might have to go through that again too, since I want to build a media PC that can stream movies from other PCs in the house.

I find biggest problem with Wii U was that they really don't have many games that really show how awesome the controller is. Luigi from Nintendo Land is probably their peek for quite some time. But yeah, I don't really see a reason to not build a pc. It's easy enough to do without fucking up with the help of some guides, but complex enough to offer some bit of learning experience.

Even though I'm sure all of you have either Pokemon X or Pokemon Y, (Although I'd bet money MoonBear has both) here's a promotion that can let you snag one of the games for free, assuming you meet the requirements:
http://kotaku.com/club-nintendo-promotion-offers-free-pokemon-x-or-y-in-m-1530458788
Basically you need to register your 3DS as well as one of the five applicable games and you're good to go.
EDIT: THIS PROMOTION ONLY WORKS FOR SYSTEMS AND GAMES REGISTERED IN MARCH. IF YOU REGISTER BEFORE THEN YOU'RE HOOPED!

I just watched Survivor out of boredom, and it's kinda... stupid? This one girl loses her team a challenge and then throw out all their food in frustration afterwards. So you'd think the team votes out this crazy bitch. Nope. The girls (3 of 5 members) decide to team up to kick out this dude who they thought was being too alpha for his own good.

Survivor used to be entertaining
