I'm spectating a game my brother's playing in. He's around level 25 right now, and still at a level where people are telling him not to jungle because "we don't need a jungler". He picked Corki instead.
His team's Diana is up against a Twitch mid. The Twitch, somehow, gets two kills up on her before the sixth minute of the game. Diana switches lanes with an Ahri who she earlier forced to go bot lane. There's a big level difference between this Ahri and the Twitch, and she feeds more kills. Next thing you know, Twitch is 4/0/0. My brother is doing fine in his lane, so he says he's going to come gank mid. While he's in the river, Ahri manages to go from full health to DEAD, Twitch is 5/0/0, and all he can do is stop the minions from pushing too hard. Ahri, who apparently doesn't read the chat, gets angry at him for "trying to steal the lane" and she says, "if you want it, you can have it. see how well you do" and rotates top.
Now my brother's Corki is mid against Twitch. He just farms under his tower. In a few minutes, he's beating Twitch in CS by a sizable margin, but he can't stop Twitch from leaving to gank other lanes, because if he tries to push Twitch is going to instagib him. My brother eventually farms up to a point where he trades kills with Twitch and gets the killstreak gold, and so he manages to get a like ~25 minute Infinity Edge.
But at this point, the towers at both of his team's side lanes are down, both of the side lanes are fed, and both of his team's AP champions are screwed (a bot-lane, and let me repeat this for emphasis, a LANING Shaco is 9/0/1 by the end of the laning phase).
Later my brother told me that throughout the game, from the time his team lost first blood (Twitch killing Diana, of course) his teammates were typing a constant stream of "gg" and "surrender 20" into the chat.
Sometimes I really wonder how anybody gets to level 30.

Going through this at the moment, Only half the games are this bad. The other half it's the other team that's terrible. I've not seen a game with evenly matched players.. I don't think such a match could exist at this level.
|
They are not necessarily unevenly, its just that they are incredibly bad at dealing with being behind in lane. So if one guy gets a kill or some advantage of sorts, he will usually go 5/0 or more in lane because they misjudge the threat and/or are incapable of not pushing. In the next game, a lane between the exact same two players might just as well go the other way around. It will just never go even, because both play very aggressive, and won't stop that even if they are behind.

My brother is lvl 20 and doesn't have any of these problems in his games.
I think part of it is a hidden ELO thing. He gets matched with players with like 300 wins in normals, etc.

25 minutes top because a Teemo is playing pussy against my Udyr since he's bad and can't harass nor take me on. I can't back because my team is never there, but it's np, they should be able to do well since Alistar spent the whole beginning camping me, and their mid Diana roamed to my lane most of the time to. Right?
Teemo gets zoned, 30cs to 70+, still can't kill him because movequick is retarded and it takes me fucking long to reach him so as soon as he's getting pushed I can't run after him. Then I'm camped and it's 120 to 100. Can't be helped I guess.
Fast forward, I'm 0-7-7, Teemo went from 1-2-0 to 5-7-11, counting two kills via shrooms he placed because noone managed to exhert map control elsewhere while I was camped. I've got 265 cs, he 285. What did my team accomplish during that time? Feed Katarina who just proceeded to suicide stupidly believing he could take on an inhib with all their team present. Or 1v5 them after they got nashor.
This got so fucking frustrating, give me back those 25 minutes they were so wasted.

Leveling up my smurf is quite awkward. The 20% of players who are legitemately new meet the people who are banned or smurfing, and either get owned or get screamedat like they stole from a Sheik. I had to stop myself from tryharding, since there was no shortage of that and really, I honestly didn't want to play like it was a 1700 ranked game without runes and masteries.
Also, I never thought I would miss runepages this badly. Last hitting is a bit more annoying with 15 less AD and AP players will essentially do true damage for free. It's an anti training zone for new players to try ranged AD, especially if they happen to be against a lane that has a decent to capable support.

Worst thing: Playing sup to a bad ad.
Bro just played with one who had 69 CS after 25 mins...

I can't stop myself from tryharding (no rage, random a champ, but I still want to win). The good thing is I probably only have like 10 normal games on my smurf and the rest (a lot more) are from coop vs ai. I'm not 1700, if I were I could probably change this, but when I face a good laner like AP yi I just can't punish my enemy. And I find that people aren't very aggressive at all when they're just starting. In fact they'll sit under tower away from exp range and that always psyches me out because I think they could be ganking one of my allies.

My latest three games...
Game 1: Support Janna. Team does not respond to pings to kill the Nunu in the middle of our jungle. I later 1v2 top lane v Nunu and Jax and succeed somehow. But Bot Lane feeds and Koggles has a 10 min IE. Literally a 10 min IE. It didn't get any better...
Game 2: Rumble top. I make Ezrael sit at his second inner tower and cry because I'm trashing him so hard and zoning him super hard. And I'm in a bad mood so I don't want to let him ever be a factor in the game and I can't kill him cause of those blinks so I settle for second best. Bot lane feeds again and Sivir has a 15 min IE. Followed by lots of MR cause I'm farmed. Banshees+Spell Shield+Alistar+Kayle = I basically can't kill her. Team has no damage.
Game 3: Jungler no smite and dies at 2 min. Goes top lane. Somehow top lane dies 2v1 in the middle of the lane. Like not even tower diving. Just straight up both die in the middle of the lane somehow. Bot lane I 1v2 because my support doesn't do anything. Until we get ganked. I juke them no problem and then Blitz pulls the Olaf who had a Shen Ult on him into me for some reason when I was fine. I die. Top lane continues to feed and somehow when I'm lvl 7 a lvl 15 Wukong comes bot because I'm still beating up bot lane 1v2. Real.
Matchmaking hate me. I should stop tryharding because I only end up with even more skewed games.

That reminds me of the blitzcrank i had as support yesterday. Me as Ezreal with said Blitzcrank support against a Graves/Taric lane. Taric was their last pick, so the Blitzcrank at least didn't pick into Taric. Enemy team invaded and the enemy Graves got 1/0/1 and then they retreated, so i was up against a lane that was unfavourable to start with but the opponent also had an extra dblade. I managed to farm quite well but Blitzcrank kept pulling Taric which always ended up with Blitzcrank dying, me barely escaping and at one point even got me killed, too. After i told him to stop pulling Taric he spent the rest of the laning phase trying to pull Graves through the minion lines and only ever grabbed minions. Whenever his grab was on cooldown he just stood around uselessly and didn't even place wards so i ended up having to buy my own. Then he got into an argument with our Warwick toplane and went AFK.
We managed 3 4v5 Aces in a row and got one baron for free but they got the next baron and then rolled over us for the nexus kill.

Yakuza94 (EUW) is my new favorite player. Takes jungle rammus (blind pick norm) and goes bot to give ezreal some kills. Too bad its the enemy ezreal. I try to tell him that there is an AP yi against me with 50AP and no boots, and that he is a free kill, but he refuses to come there. When he finally does, he dives Yi, and gives him a kill too. He takes the first 4 blues from Anivia because he needs them more, and does not gank at all. In team fights he either does not taunt anyone, or taunts Shen. While the enemy is doing Nash, he farms wraiths, while rest of us are trying to fight it because he knows better. After the game "DAMN, TEAM FULL OF NOOBS, CANT CARRY THIS"
I wish i get him more often in my team, if someone can carry me to play, its this guy.

Standard Blitzcrank. I had the same thing happen. Enemy ready to towerdive, better pull the annie with stun ready RIGHT on top of the ad carry, and not even throw her up in the air. After telling him that in some situations, NOT pulling people might be a better idea, he explains to me that he plays the game to do stuff, not to not do stuff.

what is with people talking trash during and after the game when you're obviously disadvantaged?
my support had problems with the client (the one where fps drops really low for some reason) and was trying to reconnect to fix it. whatever, gg riot, it happens.
so i'm solo vayne against varus/soraka lane, and i keep up in CS fairly well up until i get 4-man ganked and still live, but i lose tower.
i play decent, made one or two critical mistakes, and on top of that my other friends are not very good anyway (they're not as serious about the game as i am so we just play for fun) and we lose game, no biggie. varus starts talking shit about how great he is and stuff like "gg easy" and "lol you lost to AD heimer troll build." well no shit it was easy, our support was non-existent for the first 10 minutes.
|
Another fucking "smurph" who feeds like shit and goes 1v5. YOU ARE NOT FUCKING CARRYING COZ YOU WON LANE YOU ARE LOSING THE GAME FOR US YOU PIECE OF SHIT.
