Psistorm wins

MaxPax having good match-ups into DPG is a potential X-factor. At the same time, I dunno if PSISTORM can survive Onsyde and Maru to reach the finals.
If TIME carries KaiZi Gaming to the championship, move the GSL to China for year.

If TIME carries KaiZi Gaming to the championship, move the GSL to China for year. I could see either of Has or Gerald preparing a specific build Maru to get a 1-1 right now. The other of the 2 could do the same for Reynor. Psistorm has the advantage of having 2 decent enough players they can deploy as snipers. If they Don t face Onsyde or Kaizi, it s still fine, because they are pretty decent with Special/ Gumi/ Max vs the other teams

F91 should probably leave the game? lol

Damn. Are Cham and Leenock the only hope of team?
|
China6327 Posts
Leenock is a part time SC2 player at best so... KZ does need to clean this up quick to conserve energy vs Alpha X.
|
lol Leenock really delivered unexpected result. Reynor just underestimated Leenock by going for early lings rush. But, still not enough to topple down Kaizi.

Astrea's mistake is to reveal immortal to kill scouted lings. He should reveal the robo unit later. Otherwise, the Has build can be devastating to Reynor.

Oliveira realy looking sharp again. I was realy expecting him to play a lot worse due to high pressure of expectations

The new world champion goes on a tear.

He got a bit of revenge on the player who almost denied his IEM playoff

Spirit did well too, and Reynor, of course, slayed. If KZG can keep this form up, they might be able to win the whole thing.

Carriers still look so strong, but Oliveira was miles step ahead of Harstem there. The world champ is still on a tear in these playoffs, amazing sight!

It may be a bit premature, but I feel pretty comfortable saying Oli will never lose another match of SC2 in his life

Maru's TvT still looked shaky as in IEM Katowice Final. Hopefully he gains more confidence later.

Did he hate Lib so much at this patch? I guess he just like to produce more marines to counter Libs and Vikings.

Maru reluctantly builds a single viking to kill the liberators that annihilated his economy lol

Maru keeps donating ravens wtf

The raven meta does not exist anymore it seems, Maru's TvT does not look great

He made a couple, but they just arrived too late before his opponent made the move. Suddenly, all his vikings got outnumbered.
I think it is very safe to say that Maru is not comfortable with the current patch in TvT. Also, his micro/multitasking seems lacked a bit, not daunting as the last few years. Maybe he did not has practice partner?

There is like 1 raven maru had with almost full energy and he wondered that locked raven into viking lines I was like wtf

Solar, a such reliable teammate just like he did to Kaizi and TSGaming before. Now, Onsyde has two maps ahead against Kaizi.

Lovely comeback by a normal man.

Even if TIME did nothing after being world champion, that Sunday run was never luck since he beat (arguably) the best in each race - reynor (arguably), hero and maru. On that Sunday, for whatever reason, something "clicked" and he was the best player in the world.

Oliveira really is an Anime Protagonist rn.

OLIVEIRA WAS UNBEATABLE,gumiho 、major、maxpax all down

Oliveira's TvT and TvP are great as before by anticipating opponent's movement, just like reading the book. He also is very decisive and know how to mitigate the damage received by each unit in battle of micro. This current patch fits him pretty well until someone find the weakness, or Oliveira himself does not practice after this.
As good as Oliveira's current form it is, I think he still lack in TvZ specifically. Let see how Dark counter later with his varied style of roach compositions (if Dark regains his confidence back despite he receives the red letter from Korean army).

Yep but that was only on that Sunday. Just one day before he was nearly eliminated from Group stage. That raised question whether he was just really lucky, happening to be in his 200% shape, on that particular Sunday.
soO did similar things in 2019 (four-way tie in the group stage and barely squeezed to playoff, defeating some of the best players in the world, to claim the top), but before that we all knew he had been to the top-tier finals so many times. Oliveira's last international show was 0-6 at DH Atlanta, and his previous best result was like top4 in WCS America or something.
Now people used to question his inexplainable play should get the answer: somehow, he IS really the top one player in the world.

WTF reynor defended colossi push with linghydra...

I feel like herO should've cancelled the dark shrine when he saw the spore in the main

Come on Cure, one last stand before the end!

OK now let's see Oliveira's TvT against Cure, GSL champion.

Cure really capitalized on Reynor's weakness to counter mech combo. Can Cure beat Oliveira in TvT after getting beaten 2-0 in the group stage?

Cure's GSL trophy happened last two years ago. I didn't think a good measure to compare with the current patch and Oliveira's form in Katowice.

DPG winning is the most fun, actually. Cure coming out of nowhere to smash everyone is the best timeline

Wow, Cure is the last person I think can save DPG from downfall. But, today he is now a playmaker of the group.

Technically, yes since Solar just won GSL Super Tournament.

I see. So, right now, DPG just need to prevent from getting 2-0 in row.
|
So to beat 200% oliveira we needed online cure to return.
|
Every season we have at least one player from DPG coming of nowhere (they look kind of under performed prior to tournament) beating everyone in playoff match. Long time ago, we have Rogue smashing everyone, Dark making decent engagement with Maru, then herO in the last season and now Cure who carries the winning torch in this season.

Happy for Cure, but sad that Oli didn't get the chance at the end.
You have the world champ right there, he's on his own soil in front of his chinese fans, he has been on your team since forever, with many people still doubting he's actually the best player in the world, he's gotta be your ace.
Let him defend his crown.

Yeah, but Reynor needed to go 2-0; 2-0; 1-1 for that to matter I think.
You 100% send the one you think is your best player right there.

Honestly If I am KZ manager i also revive reynor there If he 1-1 cure i revive oli U do what is best for your chances. We joke about OSG reviving solar and hiding maru but thats probably the best call given the circumstances

Yeah. I meant if Oliveria gets 1-1 cure instead of 0-2 i would revive Oli. Since he 0-2ed and Reynor was the only one who won any map in the series it seems like he would be the better revive.

Ahh okok

Thinking of Reynor's ZvT games recently, he liked to produce unnecessarily a tone of lings or producing excessive drones until he realized that he didn't has enough hydras at the right crucial timing.

Reynor is positive again, so I won't blame him.

So Cure bombed out of IEM ignominously and then crushes all opposition at WTL. Unexpected. Disappointing from Reynor. Also disappointing that Oli's plot armor didn't hold. But congrats to DPG on a 3rd WTL in a row. Someone always comes through for them. This time it was Cure, somehow :p
