Game 1: Armani isn't prepared, MaxPax takes a lead, and then dies to lings. Game 1: Armani isn't prepared, MaxPax takes a lead, and then (possibly) dies to lings?
Harstem had like three different opportunities to just amove and finish the game but he chose to be passive and will now lose.. i just dont understand why protosses play like that, it's the same with Showtime.
Awesome performance by Team Liquid, Kela really had the chance of taking DPG down with that push but we would have been denied the ace match! Sending Dark on Oxide against Clem was a very bad idea, I was expecting Cure.

Since Cure should have lost Oxide to Kelazhur he probably didn't like his odds against Clem. I think Dark could have been a fine choice if he played a better game than he did (he made some really weird decisions). Best choice probably would have been Zest but seems like Zest just wasn't available today.

I am quite sure Dark was confident but I wasn't personally convinced, not the right map imho.

You can't send someone who didn't play as Ace. In the end it's Dark fault he should have beaten Harstem.

You can field Players for Ace that didn t Play the regular matches. it happened in previous CTC matches as well.

Are you sure? That's never been the rule in previous seasons.

He's right, that is allowed. The only problem is that they were too confident to give zest a holiday for someone's funeral.
In my mind that's more about decency than confidence.

Yeah you're right. My mistake for using a word like 'problem', it's just some kind of 'unlucky'.

God damit, that's what I get for trusting Twitch chat
https://www.scboy.com/?thread-223892.htm Of course Zest is better against Clem. But according to EnChant (DPG's captain), they thought Liquid may field Mana and hastem, so they give Zest a vacation because his unstable PvP performance. Then Zest went to one of his friend's funeral.
Its all down to matchup, and Zest is the best matchup against Clem, so keeping him around for a potential Ace match would be great. Also, had the fight order changed to Dark vs Clem and Rogue vs Harstem, it probably wouldnt come down to an Ace match anyway. There is a good chance Dark can get a game from Clem, and I dont see Harstem can fight Rogue the way he did against Dark.
IIRC, odds were 1.10 for DPG. Clem upset the bookmakers, almost singlehandedly. I'm interested to see how this will be reflected when odds for the next Liquid game are up. I'm not sure how they weight results history against how much people are actually betting, but they made a killing off of that match for sure.
If the matches are being played on the China server, does anyone know where it is actually located? For an EU vs KR game played on the CN server, what would the ping difference look like?

They are 100% not playing on Chinese server, as you cant even enter that server from outside china. So they probably play on NA west or NA central, just like ESL.
As they organisers explicitly opened up the cup to international teams with droping the chinese player rule anything else wouldn t make sense anyways

If this is the case, why is the number 163 being censored through the Chinese observer client?

1. Games are being played using "best server" rules, e.g. NA Central - NA West for a Bo2 with a EU and an KR player.
2. The numbers 163 and 173 are censored due to Netease's former branding in china as 163.com. "163" became synonymous with internet access, and the Chinese client censort it to prevent imposters pretending to be representatives of Netease. Much the same way you can't name yourself "BlizzSupport" or similar in-game.
