somewhat gonna regain that in the upcoming months imo

I find it a bit ironic that we have Polt and Rain, the two players whose basic builds defined the MU for HOTS, playing in the final tournament of the year
Hard not to lean toward rain, though

He can still redeem himself at DH Winter, I just don't get why anybody expected something different. It was phisically impossible to get efficient practice for this during the last 4 weeks. Of course he should've still done better than he did, because you don't lose 3 games like this in a row. Even if you played only LotV. Honestly, getting crushed like this happens. But the attitude, especially THIS is what bothers me. But again, there was no way for him to practice! If he went to Korea for practice, every single replay would've been sent to Life. So he stayed in EU, but there the server has been dead since WCS Season 3. It was a dilemma, so he chose to focus on DH winter, I don't blame him. He could've still done better today though, even while playing HotS, losing 3 games like this in a row is not necessary. Yes, it might have been hard for Lilbow to prepare properly - but the way he lost was still embarassing. No one can expect a flawless performance with the given difficulties to train. The shameful thing was that Lilbow literally seemed to have no clue about the basic timings in HotS ZvP. And these kind of things should really not happen. And Lilbow has a team, there must have been a Zerg or two as practice partner. The foreign scene should really be able to manage such minor things. I understand that he wants to do well in LotV - but always preparing for what might be happening in the future is really not the way to do it. I doubt Lilbow is ever going to get the opportunity to go to Blizzcon again. To really think the Koreans won't dominate in LotV as they do now is just rather stupid. I wouldn't even be surprised if some Korean guy who barely practiced LotV until DH:W just crushes all the European/American players. Okay, I get what you and the rest are saying. But as it was, the foreign scene was not able to get practice for Lilbow, they even asked every Korean team. So people just don't see how hard it would've been for him to prepare. It's sad that this is the truth and other foreigners didn't help him out etc..., but it is as it is. Also I do think he can get to BlizzCon again, he already proved that he can beat the Koreans that play in WCS. Why not in 2016? Maybe he will do bette then, since the other guys on the EU server will actually play game next year. Anyway, let's see what Polt can do, he was last in the community ranking, would be sick to see him surprise people now . He was last ? Behind Lilbow and Hydra ?

I just can't picture that he couldn't ask TLO or Snute for example and practice with them. I mean those guys are not Life, and they also have no incentive to pratice, but I have a hard time believing that TLO for example would turn down such a request. TLO has played LotV for months. Snute went on a break and then started playing LotV. Practice against them would be a waste unless they were willing to 'waste' a lot of their time to get up to snuff with HotS and forget about getting good at LotV beta (and even then Lilbow would probably lose any ways). So you're telling me TLO needs 100 pratice games to pull of ling runbys and baneling busts? Lilbow didn't loose to some next level starcraft. He looked like a mid master player in these games. Yea, that's exactly what would have helped Lilbow! Practicing vs 100 Ling runbys in a row! Then he would have beat Life!!!!!!!!!! You're makin up a false dichotomy. Nobody expected him to beat life. Nobody is angry about him not beating life. People are angry, because he didn't try. Trying your hardest is at the heart of every serious competition, and if you don't try you might as well don't bother. What's your evidence that he didn't try? Do you think he threw the games? No. Because he didn't practice. He didn't take it seriously. He didn't lose on purpose, but he didn't put in any effort.
There is a lot of information coming out. Basically the entire HotS ladder in Korea and EU is dead.

Is it that safe to assume that no Koreans are willing to help out Lilbow and knowingly disadvantage him? Wouldn't Koreans want a less mechanically gifted player to go through Life so that they won't have to face Life? I think you might not know koreans I am Korean.... Then you should know how it works.... Koreans are a more "in-group" focused people, but they are humans so I would expect at least A FEW to not enjoy Life's guts anyway. Were you looking for the word "collectivist" ?

People are still trying to blame practice opportunities for this shitty performance of Lilbow? These build are around since WOL rofl. Every NOOB knows that he has to keep an eye on backdoor rocks on moonlight madness. Its just pathetic that he was so careless in his play. Also he wasn't able to adept in the slightest way. Life did not take him seriously and it turns out he was damn right about that. If this is what you get from region lock, then fuck it.

This is turning into Naniwa levels of juicy twitter drama I love it. I really hope we get an ESEX article about it. I know SC2 isn't really supported by esports express anymore (due to the visa versa of that when the chips were down unfortunately), but it'd be a GLORIOUS way to start LoTV.
