I don't mean overpowered necessarily but all of the pieces just look bad. Adepts just phase out and sometimes pop in and kill everything. Not reavers off creep shoot not scarabs that look hella hard to dodge. Warp prism picking up units from a mile away. Not to mention pylon overcharging both offensively and defensively. I can't tell if its all just new but it looks really bad aesthetically. Which isn't something number tweaks can fix | ||

One of the many reasons Protoss should have been scrapped and rebuilt from the ground up. But that'd be way too much for so we're stuck with it. | ||

Pretty much, yeah. Even though i think even number changes to the stuff we got now could make protoss (and the game in general) a lot better, i am not sure if blizzard is really interested in it though, the beta process didn't look like it imo | ||

I disagree. I think there's something distinctly protoss-y from doing things like most of the HotS gateway all ins. Like seeing a bunch of units warping it doesn't look stupid. Seeing stalkers blink doesn't feel stupid. Yet watching the disruptor interact with other units just looks plain bad. Or warp prisms were there Grand Canyon esq range. It looks like there's a much lower risk for the protoss player than for the player defending it. Overall I think this is the worst iteration of protoss in SC2. I think Blizzard nailed Zerg this time around. It almost feels like terran was at its best in WoL Protoss is in HotS and Zerg is in Void. Not balance wise but capturing the essence of the race. Protoss just feels like they've thrown a bunch of gimmicks together and hope it was balanced | ||
