not really. according to terrans, protoss needed a nerf but when terrans win, protoss just has to adapt

Completely arbitrary statements.

I like Blizzard's position here. It's been a few weeks, can we at least wait and see before deciding that Terran is now OP?

Thanks god there is a race called protoss!

People crying OP before any major tournaments even complete after the patch, just like when HotS came out and everyone cried OP and Terran got nerfed to garbage which started this whole fiasco.

its also OK that the patch-protoss get sorted out (Games today really showed that Maru outplayed both toss, Reality... well got lucky and his opponents sometimes had weird engagements) now and the real skilled ones plus stay, while the real skilled Terrans wait for the Code S spot forever now. We want to see the best players fighting it out, not the best races.
At least I want that

The patch did exactly what is was supposed to do - make zerg and protoss work harder for their wins. Now you see the average run-of-the-mill protosses who have dominated the highest level of the game for the past 6 months drop like flies. It is refreshing. besides, Maru AND Reality are two top level players who definitely belong in the ro16 so I dont see what the problem is. It isn't like protosses didn't win any games today, they just didn't get out of the group.

It's not like the games have been a total stomp Reality going 0-2 2-1 2-1 against protoss, it could have been either side. It has been the terran luck so far, this prove nothing in terms of balance. Maybe if next season there is like 16 terrans in the Ro32 of GSL I will start to worry

Can we agree that the game seems to be in the best state, balance wise, that it has been for extremely long ?

Because Code S Terrans are winning? I'll agree its certainly better so far than the early half of 2014, but only time will tell if balance is actually good.

Well no, I mean T aren't "meant" to win, they aren't intrinsically better like Happy seems to think, but these days, when I watch a game, I very rarely think that the winner didn't deserve his victory. Time Warp nerf was great after all and TvZ doesn't seem to have switched too much, it's actually quite balanced. I have to say so far I'm very happy with the patch and the overall state of the game.

I do agree that recent games have been closer and the wins more hard earnt, however I struggle to believe that such a small patch could have such a large impact on the state of the game. It does seem to be working so far though, so what do I know? :D

The patch was huge !!! Time Warp needs to be laid with much more carefulness now which impacts every P match-ups (notably PvP by the way where immortal/chargelot/archon is slowly fading away to favor heavy colossi styles) and mines are back to what they should have never ceased to be : a powerful zoning unit and a real early game threat. I'm not surprised at all the effects of the patch are of this magnitude, and yeah, Protoss players will definitely need some time to adapt, but as usual when a race was slightly favored the cream of the Protoss will remain : Rain, Zest or PartinG will show us how it's meant to be done, I'm sure !

great that the patch finally changed something. But Protoss who use observers are still save vs WM, as well as Toss that don't play too greedy.
Also I like how you point out, that the timewarp ability now needs carefulness.
Stating that before that you could basicly do whatever you want with it and didn't have to care at all, which is plain wrong as every wrong casted cast should throw you a bit behind, not matter at all.

exaclty what the problem was there, the games state of balance brought players to a "level" where they never really belonged to

Taking Bunny as an exemple of imbalance when he won 3/4 of his games without a single WMs is quite hilarious tbh.

Because Destiny 1 format is better right ? hahahahaha

What's wrong with standard round robin format? I like it (the SC2 OSL did it so well - besides the Bo1).

RR is stupid. There will almost always be a game between a player who has something on the line - and someone who just doesn't give a shit if he wins or loses, because he's out anyway.

I like Blizzard's position here. It's been a few weeks, can we at least wait and see before deciding that Terran is now OP?

Problem is that Users nowadays are too quick at complaining about everything all the time.
Instead of waiting how players will adapt and figure out the new meta (play less greedy, make observers etc).
By playing less greedy I mean: all games the protosses lost, they skipped 2-3 units to get faster tech or nexus - of course this opens opportunities for the WM to hit. But basically this shows how save (safe?) protoss were the last couple of months: it is still annoying to see like 3 units kept at home being enough to defend a 2-3 medivac drop.

There have been so many things considered as being OP since WoL came out (T:Mules, Medivacs, Ghosts/EMP, P: Warpin, Colossi, Void Rays, Blink, DTs, Storm... basically everything :D, Z: Banelings, Infestors, Roaches at 1 Supply, Brood Lords, Queens after Patch...) So every race had their share of being "imba" and the most things got figured out after some time.
Same in Hots: Medivac Boost? Hellbats? Swarm Hosts, Mothership Core/Nexus Cannon, Tempest
