Well no, I mean T aren't "meant" to win, they aren't intrinsically better like Happy seems to think, but these days, when I watch a game, I very rarely think that the winner didn't deserve his victory. Time Warp nerf was great after all and TvZ doesn't seem to have switched too much, it's actually quite balanced. I have to say so far I'm very happy with the patch and the overall state of the game.

Probably because playing Protoss really well actually takes skill (meaning : is not easy). It's easy to point mistakes when you're not in the booth.

We all know his skills I feel this group was harder than Inno's on paper, but Maru played out some well executed builds and didn't insist on playing to the lategame like Inno did. Granted Innovation did go up against some odd styles (pheonix collossus).
Yeah but thats Maru's playstyle, hes very aggressive and focuses on the mid-game a lot. INnoVation played very passively yesterday.

I agree. It almost feels like protoss are underestimating terrans a lot.
I think in due time protoss will adapt and the game should be fairly balanced

Pretty surprised that trap didn't advance

Ok thats good, I guess I'm a bit sensitive over the whole Terran superiority thing
I do agree that recent games have been closer and the wins more hard earnt, however I struggle to believe that such a small patch could have such a large impact on the state of the game. It does seem to be working so far though, so what do I know? :D
Edit: English

So I guess is was easy before the patch ? :D I don't get trap, sometimes he held WM drop perfectly, and 10min later he's totally lost. He needs obs on his army too, never get one.

Trap is 3-2 against reality, but doesn't advance. One of the few shortcomings of this format.

Do you think whoever wins the finals should give the trophy to someone they have a losing record against?

You're a mischievous guy aren't you ? I never said that , and I don't think Protoss was easy to play before the patch. But I definitely think playing Protoss was a tad easier than playing Terran and I'm glad Time Warp was nerfed.

Oh I read it :D Obviously, some mistakes were made, but I still like the round robin format - I mean, there is a reason why it's widely used throughout most major sports.

The patch was huge !!! Time Warp needs to be laid with much more carefulness now which impacts every P match-ups (notably PvP by the way where immortal/chargelot/archon is slowly fading away to favor heavy colossi styles) and mines are back to what they should have never ceased to be : a powerful zoning unit and a real early game threat. I'm not surprised at all the effects of the patch are of this magnitude, and yeah, Protoss players will definitely need some time to adapt, but as usual when a race was slightly favored the cream of the Protoss will remain : Rain, Zest or PartinG will show us how it's meant to be done, I'm sure !

Terrans are winning everything after the patch -- even a foreign Terran won Gfinity. That just goes to show that you can't really balance a game with 3 distinct races. Balance will always favor one race or another. Blizzard can change the winning race with a patch just to shake things up.
