I don't even blame Hero. When the maps are inexplicably absolutely irrefutably fucking garbage, why not abuse them? Terrans did it for years in BW. Sure the MSC is finally being recognized as being more OP than the defiler, but the maps are still a large part of controlling balance, especially in between the oh so frequent patches.

I will agree that his previous tournament he looked completely off, but the entire second half of 2013 was pretty much complete ownage from him, and he's back on form this tournament. I don't really understand how you can argue.

You are right in that he hasn't shown us anything too awe inspiring, it's a little bit too early to tell though. He's been having a pretty good run this tournament, but he's been on the ropes a lot. Hopefully he doesn't make it to the finals and choke.

Most of the problems with PvT are map-related and not race related, of course it's easy for most people to ignore this, people want the maps changed and for Protoss to be nerfed.
You see the main issue is that people generally don't care about balance, they want 'balance' as long as their race has it better. If the maps are changed and Protoss ends up being nerfed (when it's not really race related problems), then Protoss will go back to be awful like during the end of WoL.

Pretty much this. Even if you get to scout a build there is always a transition protoss can do, they can up the ante.
At the same time, there is no way to have all necessary information to react properly to everything that can happen and preparing for everything automatically puts you behind.

Yeh I wasn't specifically targetting this thread it just seems to happen a lot.
I mean I am trying to avoid reddit and I never go on twitch chat because of the balance whine and TL is usually a bit more reasonable.
It just surprises me that people still enjoy discussing balance rather than epic shit
