He was facing all kinds of protoss. From the overhyped "solid" protoss like rain. Even to the hyped First. It was shocking to watch every single toss being outplayed. Then proceeded to lose against bomber.
My point still stands that JvP existed in early 2013.

game 3 was fucking cool man, action in both bases and a cool base trade.
Hero came out ahead but then it looked like innovation could bring it back and he was microing his heart out.
Hero battled and managed to push it back but it was still an epic game

Yeah, but it wasn't really the first half. He had a very succesful year overall. Actually it was even more impressive because of how he started it.

The *only* strat that Innovation prepared for in game 1 was Oracle...his opening was bad against most any other reasonable strat..
6 marines in your mineral line...that's all it takes to be safe against an oracle.
