How, bar audio problems was the casting below par? well, while this is certainly subject to one's taste, i personally prefer casts that at least add a little bit of an entertainment factor. this one just felt dry to the bone. don't get me wrong, i am not asking for a HSC-like cast but take for example tastosis, which form an ideal combo on GOM (despite some hate they seem to be getting). aside from that some of the calls simply were off (e.g. finals, akilon i believe? khaldor claimed that jaedong was rather focusing on ling production while actually scarlett was on the same count, just throwing them out in smaller batches). as for take: he seems to be a nice guy and he certainly makes for a good host at HSC, but the interviews were just annoying (even though i would have liked to see one after the finals). that said, i also truly dislike the extremely generic ones by smix. it's all due to a lack of experience (when compared to professionals in e.g. big "real world" sports), so i do hope we will see an improvement. one of the short term goals would be to have people really train their english.

Her progression has been just as impressive.
i don't know about that, he's constantly showed us that he can get over the hurdles and new hurdles that present themselves. Whether it be the lessons learned from zvp to zvt or showing more patience and not throwing away all his shit. He's come along way and is one of the most improved players of the year. If I were to give him any award. It would be that and keep in mind, I'd still give him my most improved player of the year award regardless of winning this event.

Not even EG can buy JD's way out of service.
In before EG conquers South Korea to get Jaedong out of his mandatory military service.
General Geoff, Admiral Anna, and Smooth-talking Suppy DeMusliM IdrA got it covered:
"Apologize for being that race."

Shoutout to NarutO and HasuObs. Awesome cast, even preferred it to the English one!
Edit: And gratz to Jaedong of course. And Scarlett for being the most interesting player to watch.

The tyrant defeats Scarlett... again. Grats JD. I'm just impressed Scarlett put up such a good fight. I feel she has the skill to become one of the best. Looking forward to 2014.

but Greg is no longer EG and why should he apologize for playing the same race Greg does? Greg wouldn't turn on his zerg brethren.

How many times people said "lol Jaedong's time is already over, from now he will only fall"? I count IEM Shanghai, DH Bucharest, S3 finals, and recently DH Winter. But he always came back stronger and defeated top players.
I am so glad he got a 1st place. JD ftw

Honestly, I don't think that's an excuse. Given the number of times this tournament screwed up, they could have at least had some closure and closed professionally. Not only should the winner have his/ her moment in the spotlight, but there was also the hype around the fact that either "finally a foreigner" or "finally Jaedong" would win; either player winning should have called for huge recognition, arguably moreso than, say, Innovation or Life winning "yet again" (not to take anything away from them). But it was an ending suitable for Asus ROG, I suppose.

I meant Korean, rather than Zerg, as he's going to yell at the SK government

And we NEED a JD interview.

Yeah but it's supposed to be fixed. I cannot duplicate the issue whenever I test spires so it's difficult to fix, not sure what is causing it...

But I prefer to remember the better things and these "miss-steps" rather to forget Because I hope that they will learn their mistakes and get better prepared for the next one ^^
