They sent their entire top 4 lineup, and while the overall result wasn't too bad (getting 2nd and 3rd/4th), they really fell when it mattered. Nerchio was 2-0 up against Jaedong and 1 game away from winning the group and making the Ro8. But then he dropped the next 5 games and was out. MMA likewise should have made it out of the group, but lost 2-3 twice (LWWLL both times) Innovation also got reverse swept by Life in the groups, then lost in the semis against Jaedong (LWWLL, with the final loss due to a sloppy runby) Scarlett was the only one who really impressed, winning the group and beating Stardust and Life. But alas, even she fell short in the end.

When HotS came around they both improved even more, and now near the end of 2013 they're both great Zergs. Scarlett didn't win a premier tournament yet, but just the fact that she's now 43-38 since August against mostly decent Koreans (7-7 Bomber, 3-0 Life, 2-0 Maru) shows she has it in her to compete with the best of them (JD is 46-37 in the same period). well, he became a good option for EG in the ace match even though they put him right into the fray right away. His performance in PL was very mediocre and you cannot really compare it to the other teams Aces at that time anyway.
