Stop balance whining. Do we seriously need a mod note for this? Disappointing.

Nice intro Tasteless, hail Innovation Martell!

No.

It's true anyway. Unscouted base + instant mineral line is pretty good in those low-econ situations.

UNSCOUTED BASE - UNSCOUTED BASE - UNSCOUTED BASE.

is pretty good yes.

Dammit, that was so close, I wish DRG would have expanded 1 or 2 more times, he would have had enough resources to Ultras, 3/3, Adrenal and then he would have broken trough Innovation.

The most impressive thing about that last game imo was the midgame where DRG actually managed to go toe-to-toe with Innovation without any hive upgrades. Most times zergs fall over and die when 3/3 is out vs 2/2, but DRG managed to just never lose his mutas. It also helped that they were 1/2 upgraded ofc.

Some day, a Zerg will figure out that roughly 2 swarm hosts per base + some spines zone out pretty hard. You need the unlimited extra units to help eat up the mines.

Cause you actually can't at that point, you need every ounce of minerals for making ling baneling, try playing zvt

Exactly. He needed every mineral to defend that 4th base, because in DRG's mind if he holds that base he wins. Didn't realise that bottom base was taken.

I just don't understand how the mule is defendable in situations like that, down 30+ scvs for however long it was, just float an oc down to a new expansion and suddenly you have double the income of your opponent.

It definitely is strong, but so are free units (see DRG v Gumiho) :\

They both have perks in long games

You just had the perfect example of how 2/2 lings/banes/mutas can compete just fine against 3/3 4M, and your conclusion is still that 4M > lings/banes/mutas...

Lol, like DRG had 3 seconds at the end. 3 seconds is fucking long :D

Seriously. ZvT is already pretty intense but when Bogus is the terran on top of it...

I pity the balance whiners that couldn't enjoy that amazing game. Literally one of the best games SC2 has had so far.

There was like no parade this game but OK!

You know that a zerg can't lose a ZvT without some solid balance complaining!

To bad DRG didn't scout that base, if he could deny that he probably could have won.

If he had scouted the game would have been even, not a guarenteed win.

This map is OK for current ZvT due to large spaces which allow mutalisks to work well and allow zergs to get a lot of bases relatively safely, unlike other maps like belshir or something.

ZvT still probably in T's favor but i haven't seen enough games recently to be 100% sure of that

There's a thread on this, but across professional tournament games in August, TvZ was 55/45 in favor of T. So maybe a small imbalance, but the sample size is low, so a 5% deviation isn't a lot.

DongRaeGu's micro is so friggin good.

Many players try to send small group of lings to bait the widow mines, or just send a couple of banes.

What DRG did several times that game was that he sent in a big pack of lings, and just spread them out along the marines, moving the targeted ones away. Have seen it before, but not nearly as good as how DongRaeGu just did it.

Doesn't work if Innovation targets with his mines, but that's almost impossible to do at the same time as micro marines.
