Somehow I find that highly unlikely.
It's likely because of their focus on SPL, usually they only get one day practice before GSL, or even just one stay up night. And also some players did that in BW individual league before also, forgot who, they said they agreed not to practice for each other before the matches, only general practice. And it's a teamkill, coach won't care at all.
do you have a source for your first assertion?
Many interviews from proleague players said similar things about short practice before GSL, especially when they have a SPL match on Monday or Tuesday, they don't get any practice time at all for individual league if they want to sleep. I don't watch TL interviews, so I can't find them here.
I read just about all the interviews and such statements feel are actually quite rare, I feel that such assertions are blown out of proportion and devalue GSL.
It is not an assertion if there's evidence to support the statement (indirectly you stated so yourself). Kespa players are recruited and sponsored to play in pro league and that is their highest priority UNLESS the coach works with their player to accommodate practice time for an individual league which Kespa coaches have done and continue to do. How exactly was Charlie.Sheens factual comment intended to "devalue the GSL"? I can agree with you if the two leagues had identical map pools but evidently they don't.

I remember that about several weeks ago probably, maybe when there were a lot of matches in GSL, for several days, almost every interview from proleague player said they didn't have time to practice, couple of them said because of the previous day SPL, coach didn't give them time to practice at all.
i'd appreciate a link if you have one, i see this a lot on the forums but i don't remember seeing it often in interviews at all. maybe it's selective memory or something lol

Ok, just saw the interview, definitely not the case I said. They practiced very well before the match, all protosses on the team helped Soulkey, and all zergs helped sOs to practice.
can you please link the interview? i can't find it. thanks

Back in BW at least, a number of times players mentioned they had prioritized teamleague over individual leagues. Idk about the current situation though, but it certainly has happened before.

And it makes sense from the Team-Point-of-View. The Teamleague is way better for representing your sponsor. Of course you also do that a little bit in the individual leagues but in the Teamleague its actually Sponsor X vs Sponsor Y and in the end one triumphes above the other.
That doesn't mean that they won't prepare for single leagues as there is also some glory to gain but I totally would understand if there would be some priority issue if there were conflicts in the schedules of the players/teams.

Yea lol. Where did the memory of Flash and Nada go Flash is only the best BW player of all time while at the same time being one of the 3 best terrans in SC2.
Tastosis probably just do it to create a "storyline". You have to at least hype a little bit for that. Also, commentators always exageratte like hell to create suspense.

But... Innovation is playing so much better than Flash right now. He's lost 3 maps this GSL. (Against Rain and Flash.)

If you assume that the general level of play has been increasing over time (it has) and that SC2 is higher paced and harder to play "perfectly enough" than BW (which it is) and also that Flash is doing his best (which is likely), then it's not a unreasonable statement to claim Innovation being the best ever.

sorry man, i'm not even gonna touch the topic of the best rts player ever. way too many factors involved there
edit: but if you ask my opinion, flash easily takes that title at this point

Most of your premises are wrong. the level of play doesn't necessarily increase over time - it can stagnate, whether due to game limitations or lack of innovation (lol). Also, bw cannot, and never was, played perfectly. I don't know how you can conclude that sc2 is harder. Some have said that due to vulnerability to cheese but that's never been proven to be a determinant of stability, since the best players will also be master cheesers.

on the topic of which game is harder, i would just link this video:
around the 12 min mark.
i'd take the opinion of a 2-time osl winner and currently code a level player over the opinion of a random tl poster any day
