Very cool comeback from s0s after the quick 3-0, I'm not sure why he played like he did in the last game tho. Loved the cannons.

People still thinking that SC2 in it's current HOTS form isn't insanely skill intensive (yes, even compared to Brood War) really just aren't very good at the game, to be honest.

Innovation is way above any Terran right now, especially against Zerg. He is also much better than Flash, with the skill ceiling in SC2 not even being closed to reached yet.

It honestly surprises me how many people think that Life wouldn't decimated Brood War the way he has been SC2 the last few months, with his insane multitasking he would have easily overtaken Flash within a couple months or at least been on par.

Have you played BW and watched Flash playing BW? Life wouldnt take a game of Flash in 1 year of training. BW -> SC2 is much, much easier than SC2 -> BW.

And how much BW do you think Life has played? Absolutely zero. To say he wouldn't be a prodigy is way beyond your understanding.

He simply became the best SC2 player in the world during his first month out of school. In a year of straight training there is a very good chance he'd topple Flash in BW with ease. No one is even close to on par with his multitasking atm.

I know you probably don't think so but this is pretty much trolling. BW and SC2 are completely different games with imo completely different skill sets and pacing. Life could have a been B teamer Brood War for all you know, which is the point, no one knows. Flash dominated on the highest level in BW. Everyone knows this.

On the series, I'm surprised SK didn't get the 4-0.

It surprises you because you clearly haven't played Brood War therefore you do not know the difficulty of the game and amount of skill required to play at the highest level.

i wouldn't be surprised if starcraft 3 would have a 'formation' hotkey that allows you to split units with one key press lol. this seems to be the trend in all sorts of games right now, not just rts. they're making shit easier to be more accessible to a lot of people.

Wow, I thought there was some actual discussion of the gameplay between SoS and Soulkey espeicially with the close series. Instead, it's just retarded BW vs SC2 crap.

I am not really sure the matches were worth talking about...

Yeah. While watching, I nearly thought the match was fixed. Terrible play from sOs in the first several games, then they seemed to "switch seats" to allow soulkey to suck huge ass for the next several games.

Nothing to glean, nothing to gain. Just terrible play totally unworthy of the ro4. But I think it's a sure-fire thing that Symbol vs. innovation will provide some decent games. Hoping...

It isn't. Symbol has gotten here by all inning Terran every game. He has deemed this the only way to win vs Terran and he will bust or die vs Innovation. Terran players are stubborn so I think Symbol takes a few games before Innovation figures out he needs to build units before 8 minutes.

Hey, all-in games can be exciting especially if the defender takes damage and survives. It can also be exciting to see the defender make a miraculous defense also (roro vs innovation anyone?). I think Innovation should be up to the task (I hope) but I also hope that Symbol mixes it up to try to throw Innovation off his greed game.

I felt like both players were really choking a lot. They had horrible looks on their faces after the match was over. I wonder if they feel guilty for playing such a rough series against a fellow teammate? Regardless, Soulkey was playing sloppy as hell by the end. I hope that he won't play that way during the finals.

Also to the people saying innovation is the best Starcraft player of all time, lets not get hasty. Innovation's streak barely compares to that of previous players like Life, MMA, DRG who were on fire at times. Sometimes a player understands the metagame in a way that gives them a temporary advantage. Innovation needs to be consistent for longer than this if he's going to be remembered as anything other than a flash in the pan.

That's a hell of a statement to make. Some of the BW guys have absolutely insane multitasking, and to claim that no one is CLOSE to on par with life is a little ridicuous.
