TLDR: Bly lost because he retreated instead of just amove suiciding his ultras after winning that engagement with the hero fungal.

dont think so, his supply advantage was tied in the 9 ultras you mentioned, flash never truly lost control of the game, bly's econ was always behind.

I think Bly really needed to take the bottom right as the second 4th, since Flash just kept sending a few units to take down the other hatch. Ultra/ling is mobile but not mobile enough. Flash definitely won by starving Bly hard.

No, it was Bly being a weaker player and ending up 40 supply behind, then turning that 40 supply deficit into a 60 supply advantage by mostly a-moving ultralisks before eventually running out of money because he never secured a third.
