Actually we do, EGTL would have won lol
Who would you have sent out in PuMa's stead or what b.o. would you ask of him? sHy is very good and it was a hard draw regardless like the rest. It had ace match written all over it.
I'm pretty sure if you're in PuMa's situation, you HAVE to focus the Stalker first. Probes come last in priority.
I'm not talking about messing up the micro. I'm talking about your options and expectations. My expectations were to see PuMa proxy considering we haven't seen him in so long and he's known for doing whimsical things. On paper it made sense. Said nothing about the execution.
Hmmmm I don't remember much from this morning other than that PuMa played bad, PuMa got fat and JYP is nice to have on your anti-team. Is the Jaedong - ZerO game actually a good ZvZ or is it recommened because Jaedong won and the ZvZ didn't suck balls for once?
wow EG failed so hard here..... (except JD) Tough match to lose, I think EG-TL should have won. Shouldn't have sent Puma as the ace, but oh well. Nice match!

Nah man, he sucked balls like every games, just did a very standard triple bases harrass and usual newb stuff.

I wouldn't say one of their worst, he is certainly a very good player, I just thinks it's weird to send him as the ace. In this case it was a PvP in what he is decent, note particulary impressive but good. Of couurse they hoped for a Zerg because he has good PvZ. The strangest thing for me as ace is his really weak PvT, I mean if the others send out a Terran it's basically over. HerO might be a more mentally volatile player but he is good at all three match-ups which makes him at the current time the best ace for EG-TL. JYP is better used as Sniper with good prepared builds I think. But then again I have no clue about such things so I give them the benefit of the doubt.
Certainly not bad, just not anywhere near the best players within the context of his team. TL pretty much has 3 aces that would all be valid picks for the right situation.
Also I think the coach read the situation correctly (expecting vP), which is a weak mu for taeja and JD; but he should've sent out HerO who's yet to play an ace match. If he was actually hoping for a Z he would probably have sent someone else after seeing JYP's condition vs SK? It's not that uncommon to decide to go with a different ace if someones day form didn't look spectacular.

He certainly has a pretty big bandwagon on him right now. A lot of hype but if there is a game you check out from this match I would tell you to watch that one. JD has promise.

Should have, would have didn't. No need to dwell on it; it was a good draw. PuMa wasn't the Ace it was JYP.

Tough match to lose in what sense? Woongjin has some of the best SC2 KeSPA players on it. Zenio, JYP and Puma aren't above players like hon_sin and Flying. If anything it was one of the more even contests so far, which is reflected by the score.
For all the stupid people complaining about JYP as Ace... pretty simple reasoning.
The coach expected WJS to send out a protoss since EGTL's top 3 is not particularly known foir their vP mathcups. Taeja's been getting hammered against protoss in the last couple weeks, Hero seems to be on the mend but it's too early to tell and Jaedong looked like a fool in his last ZvP losing to a far from perfect immo-sentry allin.
So who do you send? Your 4th best player since it's 100% sure WJS are not sending a terran if they expect Hero/Taeja/Jaedong. I'm pretty sure JYP would play above .500 in a 100 game series against shy, he just got tricked by the twilight cancel into expand and pretty much had to go for it because he found out too late.
The real culprit here is whoever designed that build for puma... it's fail against pretty much anything but Nexus first. His only chance with those 2 builds facing off were to get the SCVs up the ramp to defend the marines and even then... it's close. And that's also counting on protoss not getting a sentry to block out the SCVs.
And if you still wanna blame JYP... blame him for the TDA game. Cannon 2 seconds too early was weak. So was losing a game you were pretty far ahead in. Shit happens.

HerO weakest match-up is P and HerO always failed to deliver in ace match(probably to pressure)compared to Taeja. Though Taeja isn't doing so hot.
Sending JYP wasn't a bad idea by any means. Sometimes player just messed up.
Wow it seems Bravo must hate late gameTvT if things start off even. He seems to like going for the 1 base plays and then heading into the mid-game after either a baserace has occured or his initial push has put him behind.

It was a terrible idea, JYP is pretty much a rookie. I would have never expected him to deliver on an ace match. Hero would have been a better choice by far. Even Taeja or JD would have been better, EVEN considering JD's terrible vP so far.

How is JYP a rookie? If you are referring to PL, then so is HerO and Taeja.

Not the type of ZvZ you could see at homestory but it had one good moment.

So glad Taeja won that game.
Like 90% of honsins games involve rushes and in particular floating buildings.
On September 07 2012 00:58 N.geNuity wrote: this is probably not substantiated at all, but I swear every Honsin game has a floating building be a crucial part of his game.
2 playoffs ago on neo outlier after getting gas stolen he floated a barracks out, and then floated a factory of his base out to make vultures on empire of the sun for iirc.
probably can find some case of him like 2 fact and making the engi bay near the protoss to float over the ramp, etc.
all his playoff games he ever played he has a strategy of hiding something and floating it over, he has 2 facted bisu on sniper ridge, he has rushed all his sc2 games, etc etc.
