I mean it's a nice twist in case WS had some snipe build for JD, Hero, and Taeja but given that JYP lost a horrible game right before which he threw it was the worst decision they could make. | ||

No. It's Antiga shipyard, a well known, well played SC2 map. It's Protoss. How many Protoss SC2 build orders do we have? I don't know how it compares to Brood War, but I don't see how playing JYP would give you any advantage over HerO. Who's our (EG-TL) coach, again? It's not Hwanni, it's a former KeSPA team coach or something. Does he have a lot of SC2 experience, or just from the hybrid PL? | ||

If you read player interviews, the Ace pick is usually picked internally before the day's match starts so they can prepare for the map. So the player's performance on that day in their 1st match doesn't really play a factor whether they are sent out or not. Not saying JYP was the best pick, just that too many people think the Ace is decided by the coach when they get to 3-3, which is not usually the case. | ||

JYP is fairly ok of a player, he reached code S ro16 getting 3rd in his group before going all the way to code B, his vP and vZ are actually fairly decent and at least code A level, its his vT that fucks him up (actually tbh hes vT has gotten leagues better nowadays but still pretty bad) | ||
