As in he's made himself easy to dislike?

All he's really done is play zerg and beat a Liquid player in ZvP. The state of the match up can't really be his fault, can it? He played well against Maru, and I won't put his victory against HerO exclusively to balance, though it played it's role for sure.

well people are not hating on soulkey. they whine about pvz.

Quite a few people are blatantly indicating that soulkey has just been carried by his race which is as silly as in WC3 when people accused players like lucifron of being carried by orc.

No doubt Soulkey is a good player but his wins vs Hero took pretty much no skill at all. He defended against harass very poorly on Whirlwind and just sat on 3.5 bases until he was invincible. Game 3 he won the toss up of 'drones or lings' after 6pool vs FFE.

His wins were pretty silly but people should not be discrediting soulkey as a player because of them.

Were not, were just throwing some well-deserved hate on zerg.

Well, to be honest it screwed up HerO's build quite a bit, but yeah, the other two races have it sooooo tough against Zerg nowadays.

well i dont think that 6pool failed, everything went quite good for SOULkey

That's the problem- a zerg can 6 pool, throw away all their lings without killing a single worker and still end up economically ahead.

Cause HerO had to fuck about microing probes and then starting a normal gateway expand cause he went FFE...

And do you really think pros only go FFE because they're too lazy to do anything else? One gate expand just isn't effective which is part of the problem.

Do you find it interesting that this same argument "defended against harass poorly, got outplayed, lost all his bases and tech", keeps coming up again and again in these games, like in Leenock vs Hero last season?

Zerg have to go Infestor Broodlord to have any chance at beating Protoss late game, and when they do, at some point trying to defend against Warp Prism harass becomes impossible and counterproductive, so they just mass up a Broodlord deathball and go for the base trade, which is what Soulkey did.

Hero is very popular and on Liquid, so it isn't entirely unexpected, but yeah, this is pretty bad.

Most people are just fed up with zerg imo. I mean, I think everyone is lol.

I think it should be more ZvP than zerg on it's own. Or infestors. But I think ZvP is the real crux of the problem right now. Just a terrible match up all around.

Is ZvT that much better right now? Not really imo.

I like playing ZvT...ZvP is immortal-sentry or vortex..take your pick

I actually haven't seen a game winning vortex in GSL for quite some time. zergs have gotten really good at either neural, rush the MS with corrupters or just have a good enough spread that vortex doesn't do much.

Did you watch Curious vs Hero on entombed today????? Vortex won that game...

Sorry, missed that game. But out of the many late game PvZs lately, just not as many game winning vortexes as before.

Terran should have those campaign upgrades available in the campaign. Things like autorefinery, hercules dropships and tech reactors would make the game a bit fairer.

Hyun has been compared to DRG and Nestea in terms of skill for quite a while, so while I do hate seeing so many zergs get through, i think Hyun will advance to RO16, along with my boy Rain ofc.
I used to play random, but for you I play very specifically.

Cant agree sorry. Mass roaches vs archives first is a good choice. I guess Hero thought that going robo was too clunky and late, but Soulkey got that just right. They were pretty on equal footing in midgame despite 6pool.

I really think zergs in general could do a much better job with neurals, like burrowing infestors around behind the army to catch the mothership whilst moving - similar to what Leenock did last season against the protoss players. So many times where the mothership is moving out to the army where a renegade infestor could get it.

He won all those online tournaments he can't go to every lan only polt gets sent to them by TSL? Jeez he drew taeja first round before the patch and besides hyun's style isn't patch ffs the patch made the infestor brood lord composition easier to reach because of the safety of scouting and queen defence. Hyun has always relied heavily on overwhelming at the lair stage that has literally nothing to do with the patch don't comment on players you know nothing about.

I hate zerg as much as the rest of you but Hyun is legit good, he's on a sick streak in fight club and just beat the reigning GSL champion in a bo9 in a mirror match.

also he doesn't play patchzerg style.

It's funny because the patch did not affect ZvP one single bit.

Seriously whiners, just shut the fuck up. HerO lost, deal with it. No need to discredit soulkey as a player because you're a fanboy.

And balance aside, this is why people are complaining. The deathball has always been hated. And the Zerg deathball is just the most extreme example. You can even forfeit your bases. There is very little multitask, very little action. Just a ball of mobs slowly moving across the screen.
