The funny thing about Hyun is that he somehow wins with Hydra's in ZvP ALOT -___- I think the FC match vs Titan, there very few infestors and broodlords in only one game.

He won all those online tournaments he can't go to every lan only polt gets sent to them by TSL? Jeez he drew taeja first round before the patch and besides hyun's style isn't patch ffs the patch made the infestor brood lord composition easier to reach because of the safety of scouting and queen defence. Hyun has always relied heavily on overwhelming at the lair stage that has literally nothing to do with the patch don't comment on players you know nothing about.

Its you who has no idea about him he was good online but yeah like someone else he had under 50% win ratio before patch so yeah hes not a patchzerg at all.

As in he's made himself easy to dislike?

All he's really done is play zerg and beat a Liquid player in ZvP. The state of the match up can't really be his fault, can it? He played well against Maru, and I won't put his victory against HerO exclusively to balance, though it played it's role for sure.

well people are not hating on soulkey. they whine about pvz.

Quite a few people are blatantly indicating that soulkey has just been carried by his race which is as silly as in WC3 when people accused players like lucifron of being carried by orc.

No doubt Soulkey is a good player but his wins vs Hero took pretty much no skill at all. He defended against harass very poorly on Whirlwind and just sat on 3.5 bases until he was invincible. Game 3 he won the toss up of 'drones or lings' after 6pool vs FFE.

Stop making stupid posts please . SoulKey knew very well what he had to do to win . And it's not zerg alone that is broken , the other two races force the zerg to play that way , so the whole game is equally broken .

Some times i wish i was a mod and ban the heavy whinners who think that , because their favourite player lost to someone else they need to start to balance whine . Hero lost , because he was not simply good enough , the same reason why Rain won against DRG .

Teamliquid is dissapointing me . It's bad enough that SC2 gameplay isn't as good as it could be , but the people whinning all the time make it that much worse of an experience . In any way i think harsher moderation is needed .

of course soulkey isn't good. there is no need to state the obvious.

but if hero were that much better, he'd be the one advancing. after watching players like parting and by.sun, do you honestly think hero will stand a chance with this kind of sloppy play in the ro16?
There is no such thing is "e-sports". There is Brood War, and then there is crap for nerds.

Do you find it interesting that this same argument "defended against harass poorly, got outplayed, lost all his bases and tech", keeps coming up again and again in these games, like in Leenock vs Hero last season?

Zerg have to go Infestor Broodlord to have any chance at beating Protoss late game, and when they do, at some point trying to defend against Warp Prism harass becomes impossible and counterproductive, so they just mass up a Broodlord deathball and go for the base trade, which is what Soulkey did.

And balance aside, this is why people are complaining. The deathball has always been hated. And the Zerg deathball is just the most extreme example. You can even forfeit your bases. There is very little multitask, very little action. Just a ball of mobs slowly moving across the screen.

What i dont get is why Blizz wont buff carriers. There are so many options what could be made. No fungal on interceptors, interceptor range upgrade, faster carrier movement. This matchup could be more fun, i agree.

Well, to be honest it screwed up HerO's build quite a bit, but yeah, the other two races have it sooooo tough against Zerg nowadays.

well i dont think that 6pool failed, everything went quite good for SOULkey

That's the problem- a zerg can 6 pool, throw away all their lings without killing a single worker and still end up economically ahead.

He stopped mining for a good 10-15s of all the probes, forced a useless cannon in the main and killed a pylon and a forge. So naturally you assume that is no damage, while in fact, it's exactly what you can hope to get from 6-pooling anyone decent. Heck, you don't kill any more than 1-2 probes with it in Master league.

well think is, that also the least dmg a protoss can take too. unless real really lucky, you wont get to hold your ramp, yet alone your nat. so unless zerg screws up really bad, I dont see how they can't take out a forge and a pylon, force a cannon, laten tech and expension.

Cause HerO had to fuck about microing probes and then starting a normal gateway expand cause he went FFE...

And do you really think pros only go FFE because they're too lazy to do anything else? One gate expand just isn't effective which is part of the problem.

Did he HAVE to expand? Soulkey didnt... lol :|

Because you're going to know that in advance? It's so stupid when people think pros do things for no reason. They have to FFE because if they don't when zergs play a normal build they're just so behind. Anyway nothing's going to change in this matchup now- just gotta wait for HOTS.

Cant agree sorry. Mass roaches vs archives first is a good choice. I guess Hero thought that going robo was too clunky and late, but Soulkey got that just right. They were pretty on equal footing in midgame despite 6pool.

Not to mention herO was heavy zealot as well so the roaches were really good once the sentries were out of energy.

You're the one who's just throwing the word "patchzerg" out there, hyun was unaffected by the patch it's a blatant coincedence he had a rise in stock post patch due to his decision making and timings improving as he accomdated himself better at SC2 he doesn't go ultra greedy and he doesn't cut corner and rely on queen to fast tech he plays aggressive and borderline all in he was not a product of the patch (Shine on the other hand).

They weren't even at all though - Hero's harass denied the 4th but Soulkey was ahead on drones by a lot more than usual. If you go robo in that situation your timing window for a 3base Anti hive timing is gone, and it just devolves into a similar scenario as game 2. His only chance was to hit a timing before Hive while hoping Soulkey would go straight from infestor / ling to BL / festor. You saw it by the timing he tried to hit with his moveout.

Yeah cause overlord speed didn't do anything in those games right gg other races cant hide anything so Zerg can A move the super deathball which requires 12 apm to victory.

Im not a fan of hero and I dont care about soulkey either way but you have no fucking clue what youre talking about. Faster overlords means more scouting means much safer means you can eco up much quicker (or defend if need be).

I play terran and what stands out the most to me is how ridiculously boring zvp is. Statistically you either win with some trickery as protoss in early or midgame, or you lose to the massing zerg amoeba.

Remember the days when zerg had to be one base up to be even with terran and protoss? Well those are long gone now.
