That's so funny that its actually true.
MLG I feel like usually have the better korean players and the top of the Europeon players, but for some reason Dreamhack is just so much enjoyable to watch.
Really showing that in the end, Esports isn't just dictated by the player quality but by the quality of the tournament itself.

I think he actually STILL is in the running for that.
Current point standings:
1. Nerchio >= 44 2. Stephano = 32 3. Fraer = 32 4. Sase = 29 5. Targa = 25 6. TheSTC = 25 7. LiquidRet = 25 8. Bly >= 25 9. LiquidHero = 24 10. MVP Monster = 20 11. one of StarNan and Monchi = 20 points (calculating match score shortly). 12. Socke = 12 with + 8 Match Score 13. Genius with + 6 match score, + 12 map score.
14. Naniwa with +6 match score, + 10 map score
Starnan/Monchi loser will have 12 points. Monchi's match score if he loses will still be enough to qualify him directly based on points and he would be at slot 14. If he goes on to the semifinals however, to fill slot number ten however things get SUPER exciting, as StarNan's match score would be +3 and thus putting him at slot number 15.
Keep in mind... 2 players here will get direct seeds. Thus, the top 14 will qualify if 2 of Nerchio, Bly, and Mana qualify.
For TLO to qualify though he NEEDS Monchi to come back in this series and advance to the semifinals (and then lose to Nerchio).
Tl;DR If Monchi wins this series, and loses to Nerchio, then Naniwa both qualifies on points to DH Winter. You forgot Bly, didn't you? Fuck. K hold on. Yup. So it's only Naniwa who has his fingers crossed for this one. Even if you're an EG fan you're still doing some badass work here, thanks for adding this shit up man. Haha am I reading wrong or are you suggesting that Dougler is a good person despite being a EG fan? But ye, nicely done Dougler, thanks! Haha, you're welcome guys. I could get ostracized from the Evil Minions just for talking to "unmentionables" such as yourselves so I must away! Heh, in any case though, lets see what the match and map score was for Monchi... But I think he does have Naniwa beat. Naniwa - 12 Points +6 Match Score +10 Map Score Monchi - 12 Points +6 Match Score +10 Map Score Holy shit, what the hell do they do now? If Mana wins and Nerchio win, Starnan and Bly will knock them out of the qualifying, won't they? Fortunately No! The two players that reach the finals get a direct seed. Thus the points would look like this: 1. Setephano = 32 2. Fraer = 32 3. Sase = 29 4. Targa = 25 5. TheSTC = 25 6. LiquidRet = 25 7. Bly = 25 8. LiquidHero = 24 9. MVP Monster = 20 10. one of StarNan and Monchi = 20 points (calculating match score shortly). 11. Socke = 12 with + 8 Match Score 12. Genius with + 6 match score, + 12 map score. 13. Naniwa with + 6 match score, + 10 map score 13. Monchi with + 6 match score, + 10 map score 15. TLO with +4 Match score HOWEVER, Mana already got a seed from reaching the finals of DH summer, and they need 12 seeds from points. Thus, (I would presume) that it is in fact the top 13 who will get qualifying seeds to DH Winter in the case of mana reaching two finals. Can anyone link please to the exact rules for EIZO Open? Can't find them myself. Everyone here seems to ignore TLO's results from Stockholm and Valencia where he didn't get points but match/map score.
oooooooooooooh fuck. That's a huge point. Okay, well here's the rules as far as I can find them currently:
http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/2012_DreamHack_Open#Player_rankings
So, in there are a few things... The most noteworthy perhaps might simply be Socke's match and map score which doesn't just come from his points at Stockholme as he ended up +6 there not +8.
Therefore lets add TLO's +4 match score here, to +4 at Stockholme and 0 at Valencia, and, Indeed, he does have +8 match score! (Haven't added up the map score for TLO, but It wouldn't matter other than seeding order with Socke. )
However with that in mind, I could STILL be wrong, as I haven't checked StarNan's match score from his other dreamhacks, nor have I checked to see if Monchi attended the other dreamhacks. So far now, what matters is there is certainly still hope for TLO.

Wait, MLG has the top european players? Ofc. they have Stephano and Naniwa, but after this, Nerchio, Vortix, Lucifronnn, Mana, most of the ukrainiens or anyone of the russians are missing.

MLG almost never has top European players. They have like 3 of the best and then absolutely nobody else. The last one, the only Euros there were Stephano and Beastyqt.
