Pretty good finals imo, I didn't like how stubborn both were with their openings but overall nice tension and plays until the last game made me lose all will to live. Jjakji vs leenock still best finals ever though.

I am so fucking mad.
Mom is really super happy though she is all smiles.
From his dad's perspective, life wont be able to sustain this and instead of taking 10 hours a day to study so he can get into Seoul National University and become a rich and powerful lawyer he will be just some random guy. I understand his dad, but it is still pretty cruel to look that mean to a 14 year old.
Is it at all possible that he just doesn't understand what's going on? Maybe he didn't know that his son had just won the whole thing.
The older generation of koreans aren't that extroverted. I've seen some who are ecstatic and won't even break a smile.
Really happy for Life, has a great career ahead of him going on the history of royal roaders. So impressive taking down MVP in a game 7 after a 10 pool that did virtually nothing.

Lol it's pretty clear who had the better play and builds in this series.
The guy who won it, probably.
this is sc2, not sc1
Because in SC2, bad builds beat good builds, am I right?
Well to be fair, MVP made his own new builds that completely countered (blue flame double rax) and used deceptive appearing builds (mass hellion into cloak banshee) to combat's Life's style.
What amazes me is that in all 7 games, Life's playstyle was COMPLETELY countered and he still won.
I do have to wonder, other than 100% countering a player's style that he never deviates from, stopping his cheese every time he does it, and not making the smallest of overextensions, what else could Mvp have done better in this series?
Make vikings when he saw the spire late? Doesn't really work, Zerg can mass Corrupter/Brood Lord WAAYYYYY faster than Terran can possibly get up 2 Starports and get Vikings out. I'd also like to note that in the games where Mvp continued tank production while Brood Lords were being made, Ultralisks were the unit being produced after the initial push every single time. He's damned if he does, and damned if he doesn't. I want to know what Blizzard believes is the correct way, as a Terran, to play against a Zerg who tech switches at will, after having your build completely countered from start to finish.
Very good games.....sad Life won but overall it was really good, my first eve GSL final that I watched, thank God it went to all 7 maps, made it more intense

That must be it. Otherwise the mother would have slapped him around.

I'm really hoping for this too. Please Life, don't be a flash in the pan.
jjakji, while very good, had the luckiest run in GSL history with Supernova throwing away a won elimination game in Ro32, Coca DQ'ing in Ro16, and Puzzle being jet lagged in Ro8. Life pretty much crushed everyone and then beat Mvp. He'll be fine.
Fionn hit the nail on the head on this matter.
Anyway, congrats to Life! I'm surprised some dude a few pages back said he hadn't heard of Life before... do you even follow SC2? This kid has been tearing shit up for months. Go Life! ^^
