Stephano did absolutely nothing impressive in that engagement, he didn't have to, it's all on the Protoss. Then why can't anyone else do what Stephano does? Stephano doesn't have great macro (although his inject itming is good) - it's his decision making as well as unit control that is so exceptional, particularly because Zergs typically have crap unit control. Put another zerg in that position and there's a good chance the fourth base is lost.

Now obviously Artosis and Day9 probably do realise that Oz was ahead and threw the game away with shit forcefields but for whatever reason they seem to think everyone wants to be lied to so they talk about bullshit like how well Stephano played or other random nonsense when forcefields were the only part of the game which mattered. The ffs weren't the only thing that mattered, even with good forcefields that push was doomed to fail. Once the sentries are gone via fungal, stalker/immortal will get demolished by ling/infestor. Stephano delayed his tech quite a lot, I'm not sure if he was expecting this push but it seemed like he was because delaying the tech meant he built a lot of low tier units that allowed him to crush it.

Are Zerg players really impressed by focus firing? Do they not watch TvP? Stephano managed to make standard the game vs hero on antiga when his 3rd was denied I guess...

(It was a terrible timing from Oz also) Yes Oz messed up, but fire up a replay from Stephano in ZvP, get the speed down to normal and watch what units he selects. You'll see him constantly repositioning small group of roaches and splitting packs of lings during the battle. Most of the zergs will just maybe bring in the roaches closer or try to surround with all their lings.

Yep it is awesome but I feel that rather than having people stood in front of a screen they should be sat at a computer with a mouse so that they can really show what they want to and have their diagrams etc full screen so that the analysts don't block the action and they will have more control over what they are trying to show.

The only difference at that point is that Oz is in a better position than normal since his pressure play kept Stephano's drone count firmly in check. The build put him in a great position against what Stephano was doing, he just completely fucked up and missed his forcefields and lost the game as a result. But we're used to seeing Oz mess up under pressure by now =( Oh definitely, I was just giving an example to the "different strats equal different reactions". Stephano was playing roach ling, so OZ's strat was right, his mindset wasn't. He needed to wait until maxed and then push, maybe even with a couple collusus.

In a recent interview I think I heard that he would only play in GSTL for TSL since they parterned with Millenium. Maybe if he sees and experiences the studio and atmosphere he might change his mind.
